We had a wonderful stay, everything was as pictured or better- plenty of room and very clean and comfortable! The owners put a lot of thought into this rental to provide a relaxing stay- We would definitely stay again!
It was a lovely place with nice, comfortable amenities, fun nooks and crannies, a lot of space to relax and feel comfortable, and great "extras" if needed (earplugs, bandaids, extra toothbrushes, Q-tips, etc.).
The Loft was clean & comfortable! The owners thought of every small detail from extra folding chairs in the corner to coloring books. My family said that the shower was nice, too! The spacious parking was also a big plus! We will stay again and recommend this flat to all our friends!
This was the perfect location for our family weekend. The loft was clean and just as described. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. We will come back again.
We had a great time staying together in one place. Kortney was so nice and sweet working with on scheduling and all my questions. We have already recommended them to friends and family.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for recommending us to your family and friends! We loved hosting your group - come back anytime!
Loft was very clean when we arrived and stocked with every amenity we could have possibly needed. The loft is very spacious and nicely updated. Comfortable beds and furniture. It’s a great location with just a 5 minute drive into downtown Lexington. We loved walking down to the beach and watching the waves. Thanks for a great stay.

Thank you so much for your kind words about our rental space! We do our best to ensure that everything a guest could need is readily available in the Loft. Thank you for allowing us to host you - come back anytime!
This loft had plenty of space and was well stocked. The furniture and decor were beautiful, and my boys (4 and 6) loved exploring all the different spaces and rooms. We were in town for a wedding and it was a perfect location to explore Lexington and go to the beach. Would definitely recommend renting this place.

Thank you so much for your kind words about your stay at Lakeshore Loft! We are so glad your boys enjoyed the character of the historic building as much as we do! Thank you again for choosing to stay with us - come back anytime!!
We had such a good relaxing time. The loft had everything that we needed. It was so clean and homie and it smelled good. We were a little bit disappointed there was no hot tub 😕 but we still had a greag stay.
Loved the place. Very spacious, clean, tv options, kitchen conviences, comfortable. Only thing, was arrival instructions were kind of long. I skipped to the part where you can program your own passcode and missed the part where you had you first put in the last 4 digits of your phone # 1st. My fault but to long, was impatient.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
In general we enjoyed our stay. The loft was clean and provided what we needed. We loved the kitchen gathering area. The walk to the beach was farther then anticipated. It was difficult for the littles. We eventually ended up driving and dropped them off with the stuff. Had we known it was as far as it was we would have brought up a golf cart. The bedroom with the bunkbeds was very close to M25 and the traffic was very loud. The fouton in that room was not comfortable at all. The one in the front room was fine. All in all we enjoyed our stay but was way more work then anticipated.
The property is HUGE and is very comfy. Nice nooks for everything to have their own space. The outside deck is great for morning coffee/drinks or to play games on the table. The living room couch is huge and the TV is a great place to watch movies. The host of the property provides just about everything you need so you don't have to bring it all with you and is very responsive with any questions you may have during your stay. This was one of the most relaxing vacations I have taken in many years. It's about a 1/2 mile walk to the beach and if you need to bring lots of stuff a wagon or something similar would make it easier, but it's not bad. The lake is BEAUTIFUL and the beach near the property was nicer than the beach actually in Lexington or the Lakeport park - both very rocky which we didn't anticipate so take your beach shoes. Overall, a great place to stay and I would recommend it for sure!

Thank you so much for your kind words about our rental! We are SO glad that you enjoyed a relaxing vacation while here :)
We agree that it is nice to have a simpler way to take down beach items, so we have recently added a lightweight wagon and folding chairs for the beach, as amenities for our guests.
Thank you for the suggestion and for staying with us, it was a pleasure to work with you - come back anytime!

About the host
Hosted by Kortney Ball
Welcome to Lakeshore Loft! Our names are Zachary and Kortney Ball. We are life-long residents of the thumb area and currently live in the Village of Lexington with our two young sons. Kortney works as a school counselor and Zach owns and operates a local, family-run lawn and powersports dealership.
Why they chose this property
The property is located in the Great Lakes Shores Association off M-25 (Lakeshore Rd.). The neighborhood is full of cozy cottages and both full-time and seasonal residents/renters. Multiple points of private beach access for GLS residents and guests is only a short walk away!
What makes this property unique
We purchased this historic building in fall 2022 and got right to work breathing some life back into the location. The building dates back to the 1930s and was originally built by the Kinsley family for a tavern with a log cabin-type exterior. Kinsley's Tavern was run in their family for multiple decades before being sold and converted to Jack and Gerry's Bar. Most recently, the downstairs of this building was run as Oasis Coffee Shop which regularly hosted local musical acts, and the upstairs served as a residence. When we purchased the property, it had been empty for a few years and we are enjoying the process of bringing this historical property back to life, starting with this vacation rental!
Our rental offers everything you need to feel like home away from home; just pack your clothes and go! The apartment is well-stocked, spacious, and airy. The space is perfect to accommodate your family or a group of friends. We look forward to hosting you for a relaxing getaway just steps from beautiful Lake Huron!
