Woodlands - Peaceful & Charming Catskills Escape

Woodlands is blissfully peaceful cabin with an emphasis on nature in the heart of the Catskills, located 2.5 hours from NYC.



Set on 5+ private acres surrounded by woodland, the cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Amenities include a a firepit, BBQ, and access to the best hiking and dining in the region. Red Hill Fire Tower is under 10 minutes away!

The Space:

Woodlands is a cabin tucked into the treetops, specializing in that all-too-elusive peace and quiet. In spring, summer and fall the spacious wraparound deck is the center of activity...and of tranquility, whichever is your thing. And then, of course, there are wonderful barbecues culminating with chats by the fire pit continuing on into the night.



Kids will revel in the adorable “Children’s House”, a playhouse scaled to kids’ size, complete with furniture and loft.



Perched on an incline, you can gaze out into the lush woods, listen to birds, perhaps the relaxing sound of the seasonal stream that runs alongside the house, or sometimes hear only the rustling of the leaves. Inside, there is a TV located in the living room, and internet so guests can stay wired (you’d rather be hiking anyway, right?). And there are loads of games if the weather doesn’t cooperate.



The master bedroom is downstairs, just off the kitchen, and has its own entrance to the downstairs bathroom. Upstairs are two small bedrooms accessible by spiral staircase, but it should be noted that the ceiling slants and therefore full standing area is limited at the sides of the rooms. There are full beds in each of those bedrooms.



Claryville is a cozy mountain hamlet, with the Red Hill Fire Tower and the local swimming hole, just a couple miles away. There are wonderful State hiking trails too, like Slide Mountain.



The Neighborhood:

Woodlands, is located in the heart of the Catskills, in the hamlet of Claryville. This quaint town has lots of explore-worthy hikes and is central to a lot of the best towns in the region. Check out the Red Hill Fire Tower, Slide Mountain or Peekamoose Blue Hole all just minutes away. For dining and drinks check out the Russian Mule, or Piccolo Paese in Liberty. Getting Around:

Woodlands is 2.5 hours from New York City. In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.

** NOTE: The house does not have air conditioning. Fans are available for the bedrooms.
