My sister came to town and needed a place where she could have her dogs. This house was perfect with the screened porch, fenced yard and short walk to the beach. She loved it so much and so did Gandolph and Porter. 10/10 will rent again

We visit Oak Island quite often and I have to say that this has been by far the best rental for the two of us and our two little dogs. Andrew was easy to communicate with and the house was absolutely spotless. The kitchen was fully stocked, you do not have to bring anything! The home is conveniently situated between the beach and the marsh, so it is just a short walk in either direction. This is an old neighborhood and people are super friendly. Overall, we were very happy to stay here and we will definitely be back! If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Nice Home by the Beach!

We enjoyed our stay at Oak Island. There was a public beach access within walking distance and we were able to have the privacy of an entire home to ourselves during our stay. The fenced in backyard was very helpful for our two small dogs as well. We had a lovely time :)

Very clean, great location. The owner was great also. Had an issue with the lock when we got there. He drove an hour to make sure the lock was fixed and everything was good. Very nice owners!! Couldn't be happier.

It is a great location and just enought room for 3 to 4 people and maybe a puppy but i did not bring mine. Its my 3rd time in Oak Island .

Such a beautiful place!

The house is as cute cute cute as can be! The beds and linens are glorious, the kitchen has wonderful appliances and supplies for cooking and the screen porch and yard are awesome for hanging out (our dog of course loved it!). The neighborhood is so nice quiet and friendly as is the rest of the town of Oak Island. Great stay there! And great communication with Andrew!

Beach Getaway

Perfect place to stay for my husband and I! We came for a 3 night 4 day stay. Super clean! Short easy walk to the beach about a quarter mile. Easy access to good food and bars. Would absolutely stay here with the two us. Would be close quarters for 4 people but very doable!

Oak Island Getaway

My husband and I wanted to find a quiet spot near the beach that allowed pets. Andrew's bungalow was exactly what we were looking for. We take our beagle on 3–4-mile walks daily, so it was great to be able to walk to the beach and enjoy the outdoors. We had everything we needed, including a nice coffeemaker that could brew using K-cups or ground coffee. (We are not fans of K-cup brewing and we each use different brands of coffee so it was nice to be able to "customize" our morning beverages.) Families should note that there is only one bathroom, and it is sort of small, so that might be a drawback for some guests. This was not an issue for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely found this beach bungalow to be as charming as advertised!

Dog-friendly Cottage Stay

Two adults and two dogs used this bright, clean, and thoughtfully appointed cottage for a week in May. It had everything we needed, including a spacious screen porch and fenced yard. The kitchen was well supplied, with the exception of a toaster - the only thing I can think of that I might have used but could not find. We contributed a fly swatter from the Dollar General. The door on the screen porch should have a bar, or grate on it for safety, as in certain light it’s hard to see. My dog nearly walked through it. A couple of the shades on the porch needed replacing. None of this impaired our enjoyment of the place and the short walk to a beautiful beach. Andrew replied immediately to questions and the neighbors were friendly!
