The place was really cute and had almost everything we could need. However, there isn't an ice machine in the freezer (the hosts did provide a bag of ice but it didn't last too long). Also, the bathroom is VERY small, it has a weird layout too but we made it work. The bathtub never really dried because there's a grippy pad on the floor, which kinda smelled weird too. The front door also only has one lock, which made us a bit nervous, especially considering that the back door had 3 locks?? But all in all considering, we very much enjoyed our stay. We were able to cook in the kitchen, and the bed was very comfy (there a fan provided as well). The hosts were very quick to get back to us as well :)

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, location
Dirty and disappointing
First impression of exterior: messy, unkempt. Pathway of wobbly stones and dirt path from back to front - we Had to walk thru 12”weeds to get to front door. Back was dry,we parked there, but what a mess! No door on front bedroom,no curtains on back bedroom, thick dust on windowsills, windows were filthy. Thick dust and garbage under bed-so gross! All cabinets in bedroom and most in kitchen were smelly and felt gross. Not putting my clean clothes in that smelly built in armoire. No where else to put clothes.
Overall, the house didn’t have a cared for feel. We have stayed at 4 other VRBO’s previously that we easily have given 5 stars. This situation is FAR from that. Considering giving 1star.
The thick dust in the house had us sneezing our entire stay. Dead moths found throughout-which should not have been there if the place had just been cleaned. It clearly was not just cleaned.
In addition-the bedroom curtain rod ends were broken, front gutter falling down, front porch chairs were cheap, dirty plastic chairs-very uninviting.
Back room needs a fan-it’s brutally hot back there. with the sun coming in all day,it’s hard to sleep back there with no air movement. It needs blackout curtains to keep cool.
Regret booking this place.

Why they chose this property
My home is in a quiet neighborhood that is in the middle of all you could want to do in the Colorado Springs area. This neighborhood has a rich history and is filled with homes from the late 19th century.
What makes this property unique
This property is unique because it has both modern upgrades and late 19th century decor. The best of both worlds.
