Mountain Modern - Unique and Hip Living Space

Oasis of hip luxury!! Incredibly unique open loft like living space with a kitchen area, bar and three sleeping cubbies( 2 full 1 queen bed). Perfect for a solo , couple , family or group of friends that like unique and beautiful stylish spaces . Each cubby is lined up next to the other. There are NO SEPARATE BEDROOMS…. See pictures for clarification) and set into the roofline . Custom wood plantatiin shutters are the doors that close off each cubby for privacy. Every cubby has a set in bookshelf with two USB ports and one electrical outlet , a small personal fan and an RH light sconce on the wall. There are two very large drawers under each cubby and two overhead cabinets are used to store clothes, essentials of each cubby occupant. Both down and non down pillows are on the beds as well as duvet covers and fine bedding. . Every aspect of this property is hip and cool with very high-end finishes. The space is very unique and probably not something you have seen before . Gorgeous bathroom, kitchen bar, two burner induction stove, mini freestanding oven on the back counter, Bosch dishwasher, Sharp microwave drawer, Nespresso machine, regular coffee machine , Magic bullet, electric tea kettle, and blender. The barn has a private outdoor shower with a dressing room on the back of the property, as well as a new wood burning fire pit, (wood and starters provided) Deck off the two sets of French doors has a table and two chairs two lounge chairs with umbrellas and a propane grill. Great sound system and a 55 inch Samsung smart TV (no cable sorry) . Recently installed shared gym on the lower level ( in one of the garage bays) with a stationary bike. Elliptical machine , concept one rower, weight bench , dumbbells, kettle balls and a 70 inch Samsung smart TV . This space has showhouse potential and it’s beautiful in every way . Some guests have commented that the photos do not do it justice. Lastly , pets are permitted on a case by case basis with an additional charge of $25 a day per dog.

Mom, Dad and two kids (5-6) had an amazing week in a memorable space. The property is a true gem nestled in the fern-covered hillside. We enjoyed slow mornings with deer watching and coffee on the second floor deck as everyone emerged from their own cubbies. The host is an actual saint who was beyond helpful.

Mid summer fun

We had a great time at the Mountain Modern rental. Leslie was very helpful and welcoming. The place was Wonderful. I would highly recommend this rental.

Upscale barn retreat

Leslie was a wonderful host. We enjoyed the property and the location for hiking and kayaking. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for meal and beverage prep.

Beautiful mountain retreat

Absolute beautiful loft with everything we needed for our first stay in Eagles Mere. Clean, safe, modern, with so many welcoming amenities. Deck perfect for relaxing with morning coffee overlooking the woods. AC and fans kept everything a perfect temp and we loved the in-wall sleeping cubbies (such a cool feature) which were extremely private and cozy. Could not have found a better spot (or host) to help us take in the town and lake. Our host made sure we were settled, knew our way around town, and we loved getting to say hello to her pup each morning outside. Everything was perfect (including the homemade salted chocolate chip cookies).

Modern & Cozy & Perfect!!

Staying in Leslie’s home was fantastic! She was so incredibly welcoming and warm as a host and made us feel comfortable right away. The space is even more beautiful than the photos can do justice. All the lights being on dimmers makes it so cozy and the surround sound gives a really modern feel in our little lake town. Will absolutely be back!!!

Mountain togetherness

We chose Mountain Modern from a short list of available properties about two weeks before our stay. Our family of older teens and an 11 year old found a great place to grill, have bonfires, play games and enjoy nearby state parks and eagles mere lake and town. Leslie, our hostess, was terrific and accommodating, with lots of lovely extras and local knowledge. Even though she was off property, she was responsive and lovely. We were a little worried that there wouldn’t be enough privacy without separate bedrooms, but we all leaned into the coziness of it and there was plenty of space for all. It was perfect.

Relax and Renew Together

The Mountain Modern was more than I expected. I was hoping for a cozy space near Eagles Mere Lake to relax with my family. The accommodations were lovely, spacious enough for three of us, had an amazing kitchen and delightful patio right amongst the trees. We were a little too busy hiking and enjoying the town to make use of the fire pit and gym, but they were both top notch. Leslie paid attention to every detail which helped us relax and enjoy our time away. This would also be romantic for a couple or a great getaway for a small group of lady friends. We will recommend to friends and try to get back again ourselves.

Perfect Get Away

I have owned and rented in Eagles Mere for 30+ years, and Mountain Modern (Barn) is one of the nicest, most relaxing places I have stayed. The owner, Leslie is fantastic and greeted me with wine and cookies. She checked on me over the long weekend and ensured I had everything I needed. The weather was perfect, and the space was ideal for relaxation and rejuvenation. I walked and hiked. I went to World's End and High Knob, but my favorite place was on the deck, reading my book, writing in my journal, and watching all the deer. A surprise bonus was Ellie Mae, Leslie's dog. It was a great rental and a wonderful escape!
