The cabin was perfect for our stay. A wonderful gathering place with great outdoor space. We would definitely stay again. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!
2nd time staying at the Ott Spot. We highly recommend and plan to return again soon. Truly kid and pet friendly. We enjoyed spending time on the property (fishing at the pond, campfires, running around in the yard) and visiting the local hikes/parks.
The cottage was very clean, all of the amenities that they advertised, and a beautiful rural location ! Doug, and Adrienne were very accommodating. We had a great stay, and will stay there again.
The cabin is very comfortable and modern. It is very nicely appointed with wall hangings, window treatments, environmental controls, kitchen necessities, an outdoor fire pit, comfortable furniture, a television with WiFi access. Very modern & quiet setting, owners easy to communicate with. We completely enjoyed our time here.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Ott Spot. The cabin was very clean and the location was perfect. It was quiet and comfy.
We will consider booking again in the future.
We were in town visiting family and very much enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, well maintained, and very well appointed. We were able to find everything we needed anytime we looked for something. Will definitely be returning for future family gatherings.
This was such a cozy cute cabin! It provided everything we needed for the weekend and was very clean. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and the fire pit at night. Close proximity to World’s End State Park and Rickett’s Glen, which were both beautiful. Would definitely stay here again!
What a perfect place to stay. The Cabin has everything, even a washer and dryer it truly is a home away from home. The fishing pond is a huge plus. This place is well cared for and was super clean. We felt so welcomed and can't wait to head back, maybe this fall 🍁.
This was everything we hoped for and more. A wonderful, quite, and well maintained retreat, the cabin and the land were so relaxing. The location was great to, so many places to explore, from the towns of Dushore, Laporte, and Forkesville, to the hiking and swimming at Worlds End and Ricketts Glen, we will be back for sure!
We met up for a little getaway with two families and this cabin was perfect! We loved being able to relax by the fire and cook meals together while our kiddos played together. We appreciated all that the house had to offer. Between the stocked kitchen, games for kids, comfortable bedrooms, and the washing machine we were so happy with everything! We spent time exploring Worlds End and Ricketts Glen... both must sees if you're visiting!
This was definitely a great stay. The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway with "the guys" (my 6yo son, my brother-in-law and his 5yo, and a friend and his 4 yo). Attention to detail by the host was not unnoticed, and the place was VERY clean. We couldn't be happier with our stay and are already trying to find a time to return in the fall. I would highly recommend this place.
My family and 2 dogs stayed at The Ott Spot for 4 nights. The cabin is extremely clean and comfortable and in a great location. We slept well in the comfortable beds, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals, and the A/C units were perfect during the heat wave.
We met Doug while he was doing some work on the property and he was very friendly and welcoming and invited us to use the pond whenever we wanted and offered a tour if we wanted to see the property. We did spend some time one night at the pond and our dogs loved swimming and running around with another neighbor dog.
We highly recommend this great cabin with great people!
We rented the Ott Spot to celebrate my Birthday. It is a gorgeous little place, set back from the road, and very secluded. The pictures do not even portrait the true beauty of this spot. There is a beautiful private pond to explore and some land to walk around. We really had a very relaxing time with our two little dogs. The stars were breathtaking. We did not do any hiking like we originally planned because we were so cozy in the cabin. We did drive to Big Mike’s in Forksville for their award winning cheese steaks. But other than a few walks up the road and a few walks around the pond, we stayed in and cooked good food, read our books, play sudoku, and I crocheted. It was a perfect weekend to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We will definitely come back!

About the host
Hosted by Adrienne Ottenheimer
Hi! We are the Ottenheimers; a blended family that loves to travel and make memories. We both grew up in Sullivan County, PA and feel blessed to be raising our children here.
Why they chose this property
The Ott Spot was built in 2006 by our father/father-in-law. It is adjacent to his 100-acre property and is part of original homestead. We absolutely love it.
What makes this property unique
The Ott Spot is gently tucked into the lush forest. A short walk down a dirt road or through the woods, leads to a 1.5 acre pond that was built by our father/father-in-law. Although we live 20 minutes from the property, we spend as much time there as possible. We hope you love it as much as we do!
