Great base to explore Finger Lakes

Serene and beautiful stay right on the shores of Cayuga Lake. Water shoes recommended if it’s warm enough for wading/swimming. Convenient to Ithaca, wineries, and surrounding area. Sturdy backyard staircase leading down to lake shore. Owner was welcoming and had recommendations for things to do

Great house close to Taughannock falls and Ithaca

We had a wonderful time in this property. Andy lives right next-door, and was more than helpful in every aspect of the check-in process, where to go, checking out. We will definitely visit this place again.

Family time.

Enjoyed staying at the lake house. The view of the lake is very nice. It was a great place to come back to after enjoying the state parks. So many trails for hiking and biking. It was just what we needed.

Great Lake Cottage

Great lake cottage…perfect fit for our family. Beautiful view of the lake and a private dock to tie our boat to with the boat launch only 2 minutes away! The owners answered questions immediately and check in was simple! Highly recommend!

Beautiful lake home!!

The house was a perfect place to stay for several days while visiting Ithaca. Close enough to town for daily trips to store, etc, while also feeling like a complete getaway. House is clean and well-appointed. Andy the host was super flexible and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Everything You Could Want

This property on Cayuga Lake was perfect for a getaway with friends. The Lakeside House was beautifully appointed and super clean and very comfortable. It was a quiet and restful retreat, but within easy driving distance to all that Ithaca and the area have to offer. The hosts provided everything we needed and checking in and out were a breeze. I plan to return with my family in the future.

So good, so good, so good!

Everything about the Lake House exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated (so much pretty art!), the most comfortable beds ever, kitchen had everything we needed, view was beautiful. We enjoyed a bonfire and s’mores one night in a secluded area with chairs provided by the host, who also saved the day by helping us get the fire going. My only “ding” in this review is that the 80+stairs to the dock were steep and might not be useable for people with mobility issues (like me). Overall EXCELLENT!

Amazing stay- highly recommend

This property was absolutely lovely! The view out of the windows of the lake was so beautiful that it would have been enough to have just stayed in the home and enjoyed the area from there for our whole stay! We slept with the curtains open so we could wake up and see the sunrise over the water. We also enjoyed having access to stairs down to the water. The location is fabulous, just minutes away from the amazing waterfalls at Taughannock Falls State Park. We enjoyed the charming shops and nice lunch in Trumansburg. We enjoyed the proximity to many things in Ithaca, including Buttermilk Falls, and Wegmans! One day we went on a nice drive around Seneca Lake, stopping at Muranda cheese company in Waterloo and the Treman State park for more waterfalls. The home was very clean, perfectly decorated, the beds were more comfortable than ours at home, and we had good communication with the hosts. We would love the come back and enjoy the home again!

Family wedding nearby

This was our first time in the area. The location was perfect for us as it is extremely close to the Inn at Taughannock Falls. My nephew got married there. It is also an easy drive from the airport and to downtown Ithaca. Frankly we didn’t explore a lot because the house was great and the water was so peaceful. The pictures don’t show the living room, dining area or upstairs bathroom. I mention this as the house is even more spacious than the pictures show. It was recently updated and the decor is a perfect blend of old and new. The kitchen is fully stocked and the bedrooms are very roomy. The view is gorgeous but, as noted, do understand you are on a cliff. There are a number of steep stairs to navigate to get to and from the dock. Since we were there for the wedding we were in need of an iron/ironing board. The house didn’t have them but when I reached out to Andy (the owners are next door) he dropped both off that afternoon! We would stay here again for n a heartbeat. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a great stay. The location was great and easy to get to nearby wineries and a short drive from other attractions. The place was clean and the host was very responsive. There is a nearby trail for running/walking for early morning exercise if necessary.
