Just a block away from very cute Windom Park, this American bungalow style home is ready for you and your travel companions! In a quiet neighborhood, with sweet homey vibes, our open concept space is full of plants & light and has two bedrooms, a den with a 60” television that you can cast to (of course with all the streaming apps) and enough space to feel comfortable but not too much that it’ll feel overwhelming.
Though the neighborhood boasts lots of breweries & world-wide cuisines (Mexican, Indian, Vietnamese, and Mediterranean food) the kitchen has all the supplies you need to feel at home and cook simply.
8-10 min drive from the Mississippi River at Boom Island Park, 8-10 min drive from downtown Minneapolis, 12-15 minute drive to South Minneapolis, nearby 2x grocery stores and multiple other pharmacies/shops.
About the Space
Let the birds greet you each morning! The whole house gets beautiful sunlight all day and has at least 2 windows in every room. The backyard features a fire pit, hammock, and comfortable trellis to sit under (with concord grapes that you can eat pending the season).
The living room, framed beautifully by windows and books, has a small desk to work from alongside comfortable velvet and leather couches that center the working wood-burning fireplace.
Bedrooms: The front room has a queen size adjustable Purple bed (medium firm) while the back room has a firm full size bed. Each has its own unique flair with art from local or queer artists and consists of 5 pillows, cotton or jersey linens, bedside lamps and extensive closet space.
Kitchen Area: The kitchen area consists of a small kitchen with a butcher block island and dining room with a six-person dining table. The kitchen has a full-sized gas stove with pots & pans, percolator & french press, waffle maker, and full-sized steel refrigerator.
Den: The den, enclosed by french doors, has a kitschy little ikea daybed that can be used as a couch or another sleeping space for folks that like a dimmer room. With a 60” television and plants. It’s another place to chill after a long day of being out & about in Minneapolis.
Accessibility: This space is not accessible for wheelchair users as there are no grab bars and the door frames are not ADA compliant. For those with impaired mobility, there are two stairs to enter the kitchen from the dining area (see images). This space is also not child proofed in that it does not have outlet covers or a safety gate near the basement stairs. The house is mostly scent free (no plugins or diffusers), please try to keep it that way.
This space maintains all of the VRBO COVID safety precautions and there is generally a 24 hour turnover between guests.
