Garden Getaway is an updated ranch ready for you to enjoy. This vacation home has a large backyard and is within walking distance of downtown Douglas and a short drive to Douglas Beach and Saugatuck.

INSIDE THE HOME
This home is ready for your next vacation and all the memories are to be made here. The home sleeps ten comfortably with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Each bedroom has an ample amount of space for spreading out. The open living concept makes it perfect for entertaining your group. The gas fireplace in the living room is the perfect spot to cozy up after a long day of adventuring the West Michigan Lakeshore. The kitchen has newer appliances and is stocked with the basics for the nights spent in. Many summer nights are meant to be spent here.

THE LOCATION
The location of this home cannot be beaten! Just outside of downtown, but still in a distance of everything you need. Saugatuck is a 5 minute drive away and downtown Douglas is less than a mile. Oval Beach is a five minute drive as well, and Dune Resort is a mile.

Great for trip to Saugatuck/Douglas!

House was in great shape and a terrific space for our family. The backyard was especially nice given it was fully fenced in and allowed the dog and kiddo plenty of space to run around.

Very nice place!

Great layout and use of space. Beds very comfortable. The grill was too dangerous to use with flames coming out the front and knobs. This meant our dinner plans for two nights were failed but the oven worked great! The property would be awesome if there was a new grill and an added hot tub!

Perfect het away

This house was clean and comfy! We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect! We have been renting yearly (often more than once annually) and this was a very nice house. Private back yard and deck was an added plus with the firepit. They only issue was with the air-conditioning, it resets to 77 every few hours. House was very warm upon arrival & took hours to cool. Overall, nice rental.

Lovely Vacation Home

Overall our stay was great, and the property was lovely. The property is well maintained and was larger than expected. The fenced yard was beautiful, large, and safely secured for our dog. We did find the interior of the home to be extremely dusty underneath beds and other furniture, and we would have preferred more extension cords/surge strips near beds to be able to plug in multiple devices more easily. We would have also liked to have either had pump hand soaps, or soap dishes so we didn't have to put the provided bars of hand soap directly on the counter. We had to use the plastic wrappers they came in as soap dishes. There also were no dish towels with the provided kit of kitchen cleaning items. We also had to turn the water heater to a warmer setting, as the house ran out of warm water after only two people showered, and they were not long showers. There also was no hair dryer anywhere in the house, and the listing said there was one there. We could not figure out how to get to basic channels on the television. We were hoping to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics but couldn't get to any basic channels. Instructions on how to do so would have been very helpful. The location was good; easily walkable to downtown Douglas, and no more than a five minute drive to downtown Saugatuck. The issues listed above are all relatively minor, and likely wouldn't prevent us from staying at the property in the future. Just something we hope will be addressed.
