Beware, Reservation Canceled by Owner at last minute

The owner of this property canceled our reservation less than 8 hours before check-in. Part of our party was already on route to the house. VRBO tried for hours to help us find a hotel in the area but was unsuccessful due to the popularity of this area at this time of year. 3 couples were stuck scrambling for hotels and paying 3 times more for the weekend than we would have in the house.
