Great Stay!

We really enjoyed our 3 day weekend stay at this beautiful property. It's just far enough out of town that you feel like you are out in the country, but still close to downtown NC. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Perfect getaway spot with family

It's a great house- more spacious than photos even show. We loved the decor and vibe of the place. The grounds made it even better- felt like a real getaway out in nature, but actually is close to town. We had a great time- the house worked so well and easy for our extended family (including a toddler and our dogs) to convene there and spend time together. Would love to go back again.

Absolutely lovely

We had such a great trip here we talked the entire time about visiting again. The property is lovely, the host was quick and helpful with any questions that arose, and it was overall a fantastic experience. The home is beautiful and comfortable, with so many fun things for the kids to do. It is close to downtown and yet far enough away we saw plenty of wildlife during our visit. Highly recommend for families!

Beautiful, eclectic home great for a girls getaway

We stayed here to celebrate a 40th birthday party. It was the perfect spot to setup homebase and explore the area over the long weekend and kick back and play games or listen to music in the evening. There was space to spread out inside or enjoy the outdoors although it was rather rainy when we visited. We enjoyed learning about the history of the home and studying some of the art pieces in the house. Only suggestions for improvement would be a binder with details of home and clarifying in the listing that the bunk room is not two bunks, it is a twin over full. The owner quickly clarified when I asked. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. Thank you for sharing your unique home and Zulu the kitty with us. We will definitely consider this home again for a girls getaway!
