You are less then four minutes away from the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon- home to Snowbird and Alta and less then two minutes away from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon- home to Solitude and Brighton. (Within 13 to 18 minutes total drive time to four of Utah's greatest ski resorts). THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE: Sometimes during the ski season when it really dumps, Alta and Snowbird get enough snow that they are forced to close down the canyon road for several hours due to avalanche control. This is not the case with the resorts in Big Cottonwood Canyon, on these days you can just as easily make the decision to ski Solitude and Brighton avoiding Little Cottonwood Canyon closure. You get to do what you came here to do independent of the weather which is great news for you!

DON’T FEEL LIKE DRIVING? Take the ski shuttle bus from the mouth of either canyon. It costs just a few bucks and takes you straight to your destination.

You are also within walking distance of the super-market, and just a few minutes away from local fun ski-hangouts such as The Canyon Inn, Hogs Wallow, and Porcipine Grill, as well as ski and board shops, shopping, movies, coffee shops, and the freeway entrance.

Feel like our four famous resorts haven’t completely scratched that skiing itch? Jump in the car and drive 30 minutes up to Deer Valley, The Canyons, and Park City Mountain Resort, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Park City is a fabulous resort town, a destination definitely worth checking out during your stay in Utah.
