Very comfortable and relaxing on the inside with beautiful surroundings and hiking trails right on the property. Exactly what we wanted for a get-away and such close proximity to the zoo where we attended a wedding.
Everything about this exceeded my expectations! The retreat was extremely well designed, immaculate, and relaxing, plus the hosts were friendly & accommodating. I highly recommend it!
A truely beautiful place. The way that the light filled the space through the many large windows was magnificent. The grounds were expansive, restful, and very walkable. The living space was ample and very comfortable. The absence of a "kitchen" sink required a little ingenuity. We loved it.
Everything about the place was perfect and serene. It was exactly as described. So comfortable and quiet. It was just what I needed. Can’t wait to come again.
Only one night wish we could have stayed longer to explore!
This quaint and peaceful spot was so perfect! The furniture was unique and bed so comfortable! Beautifully decorated and cozy! Loved all the different plants and quiet location.. close to Bellingham and Franklin, but off the beaten path. Highly recommend! The name says it all.. “Zen”
My friend and I came to MA to go hiking and go plant shopping. We were so excited to stay at Zig Zag after seeing the photos on the listing. When we got there, it literally took our breath away! Jared and his wife are so kind, the place is absolutely beautiful and Mimi the cat is the cutest/friendliest additional host!! We can’t wait to come back again.
Staying in this suite was a real highlight. The view and trails were beautiful. The creek was mesmerizing. The peace and tranquility were just what I needed. The hosts visited to explain the trails and enlightened me about the history of the place and how a focus on local materials and builders was important to them. Doing yoga to the sunrise was a most excellent way to start the day. Hope to come back again soon!
We only stayed 1 night on our way to another destination but are already planning a way to return for a longer stay in this charming and very comfortable guesthouse. The place was immaculately clean, rooms are spacious, bed and couch are comfy, the shower pressure is great, lots of natural light with dark curtains for privacy and sleeping late if desired. The decor happens to match our preferred aesthetic with great wooden tables and benches, thriving plants (inside) and a beautifully landscaped yard including adorable miniature houses along the top of the walls lining the driveway. We didn’t have time to explore the trail but a detailed map is thoughtfully supplied. In short, we’d recommend staying here without any hesitation.
We only stayed for one night…although wished it was longer. We were in town for a family event and fortunate enough to find this beautiful space. Set on former farm land, we were embraced by nature. The accommodations were private, open, airy, and welcoming, and bright. The living area, bedroom, and bath are all new and spacious. Oversized windows. Indoor yoga practice area. 2 mile trail for walk or run. Gas fire-pit and chairs. Coffee bar with refreshments. A lot of thought and care for the property and guests. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
I’m from Uxbridge, MA, and my wife, Ning, is from China. We share a love for peacefulness, hiking, riding ATVs, and spending time outdoors. Outside of our short-term rental business, Ning pursues her passion as an artist and gardener, while I work as a manufacturing and facilities manager. We truly enjoy hosting and connecting with amazing people from around the world.
