Mary’s Place- New River Gorge National Park and Preserve Rest, Relax, Rejuvenate

Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere located in the New River Park and Preserve . It is conveniently located at the beginning of Meadow Creek on Riverchase Way, at the railroad crossing (it is an active crossing). Enjoy outdoor activities that are right outside your front door.

The space-
The view is incredible!
Enjoy the spacious deck that overlooks the beautiful New River with gas grill, outdoor seating, dinning area and 2 fire pit areas, which is perfect for making s’mores! One fire pit is just outside the main entrance, the second one is on the riverbank.
Mary’s Place is 100% non smoking inside, offers 3 bedrooms (1 bedroom downstairs with 2 queen beds, 2 bedrooms upstairs each with 1 queen bed. 2 full bathrooms (1 bath downstairs with shower tub combo/ 1 bath upstairs with large walk in shower. TV’s with roku’s and internet access is in all 3 bedrooms and living room.
There’s a second floor balcony with seating off of the master bedroom. Onsite laundry is available.
The private shoreline/ beach area directly in front of the house makes fishing even more enjoyable!

Mary's Place is a cozy, lovely home to stay in with family. It has everything you need. Meadow Creek is a quiet,little community that ranks among my favorite places to stay.

Wonderful!

Highly recommend. It’s cozy, comfortable, and right on the river. The only downside is being so close to the train, but it was otherwise quite perfect!

Family trip for a wedding

The check in process was easy and the place was great. We did have to leave a day early because of high water and a mud slide near by but the kids loved the environment and this place was a huge blessing for us.

Very nice setting right on the river. Well stocked and nicely appointed. Beds were comfortable - earplugs are recommended for the nightly train activity. Worked well for exploring the New River Gorge area. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was as advertised and exceeded expectations. Beds were very comfortable, we had all the amenities we needed, and the location was a perfect base for our New River Gorge adventures! The train tracks are VERY active, but it was expected and didn’t bother us a bit. The back deck was great for bird watching! We saw many different birds, including herons and even a bald eagle. Highly recommended!

Visited sandstone falls, walked the cat walk on New River Bridge, Took a ride thru coal mine in Beckley & spent time relaxing in Mary's place having campfires & enjoying our coffee looking out at river. Highley recommend. We had a fabulous time

Beautiful place!

I think this place would be perfect, no matter what time of year. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery, this is it. Many state parks just a short but beautiful drive away. The owners were great and very responsive. The home was clean and comfy.

Host was very welcoming and attentive to respond. Also was very flexible in rearranging the dates needed due to bad weather. Views were second to none! Absolutely incredible!!! We literally saw otters, a bald eagle, turkeys, ducks, blue jay, - was so amazing to see all this from the back windows that overlook the New River Gorge. Amazing!! The ONLY two things we did not enjoy were 1. The fact that there were like 5 trains that passed by late at night / early morning hours (12-5a) and this house sits literally 50 ft from the tracks - so it literally shook the windows downstairs. But this said me and my son were the only ones to wake up - wife and daughter never knew any trains passed - and they were all gone within seconds so it really wasnt that bad. Honestly, I am still glad I went - place was set up very very nice and is absolutely stunning for the scenery around. Host was super and overall condition was very very good. We stayed to ski at winterplace which was just a short drive away. Would stay again.

Spring stay

We really enjoyed being right on the river and even saw a river otter swim by. The property was clean and as pictured. The trains were louder than we expected but it did not change our opinion of the house and would not hesitate to go back.
