Overall the stay was very pleasant. The toilet in the main bathroom is an issue and runs non-stop and the flush button needs to be addressed. The dryer was broken so it was an inconvenience but the host did try to address the issue. Overall we had a nice time and the proximity to USC campus was a bonus!
Beautiful home, great location, great communication! We were in for our son's graduation from Boot Camp at Fort Jackson. It was perfect for our family. No issues at all! Highly recommend!!!
Great location, quiet street. Loved the old house with some modern touches. Regular drip coffee maker plus a Keurig. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a rental even at a hotel. The hot tub was the amazing after walking and being on our feet all day tailgating.
This property, for us, came with a lot of good, a little bit of not good, but the little bit of not good is worth getting into. Let me start with the good, everything other than the kitchen was great. The beds were very comfortable. The space was plenty. It's a bit of an older home but it was very comfortable. The check-in process was fine, the door has a code (which any VRBO owner who still makes people get a key - stop it!). The instructions that were sent were great with pics etc, but then referenced a code below - no code. Had to reach out to get code. The yard was very cute and the hot tub was great. The not so bad, but it happened, is the hair dryer sparked and died. I communicated that to the property manager and informed them, asked if we bought one if they would reimburse as we definitely needed one. They never got back to us on that. The not so good, the kitchen!!! The kitchen was not very clean and I am not one of those every little speck of dirt type of people at all. The counters, fridge, etc were fine. If you didn't want to cook you may never care. But the utensils, the drawers, the oven were all dirty and/or sticky. Also, there were zero boiling pots, another deficiency in communication when informed them of that. We bought groceries on way in thinking we could boil. We had to buy a pot. I suggested the PM due a full inventory of that kitchen, and really propose a deep cleaning and maintain.I wouldn't avoid by any stretch, just know.
Great stay! Loves the location and the uniqueness of the house. Only complaint was hot tub had mold and was a little dirty. Everything else was great!

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness
This property falls short of expectations. Only three kitchen lights were operational. The interior design was eccentric, and the home's overall condition was outdated, accompanied by a lingering unpleasant smell. Furthermore, one bathroom showed signs of mold on the ceiling, while the other had a loose vent and mold under the caulking with widespread peeling paint throughout home. Additionally, the kitchen suffered from grease drippings, stained ceilings, and a filthy sink. The outdoor seating area and jacuzzi were also poorly maintained10 out 10 don’t recommend!
West Columbia is perfect if visiting downtown Cola!
Love the quaint little brick cottage. We did not cook while there, but the kitchen had everything you would need. Proximity to downtown Cola was great plus quaint lil cafe's were a couple streets walk away. We also found the old Brookland Fire station that was turned into a Brewery - Savage Craft Ale Works with great food that we could walk to! Really liked the calm in the backyard of the house with a pond & seating on a deck that went around the back right corner of the home. Hot tub was nice & large but smelled a lil musty- headrests could be replaced since they are stained and probably won't come clean. My husband & I thought the bed in the front room was like sleeping on a cloud!!! Note: there is no en-suite for that bedroom but was not an issue for us traveling alone. The front bedroom and other queen bedroom off that hallway share the full bath. Off the kitchen is a single bed and an en-suite off that bedroom. Enjoyed the home away from home!
