Luxury Amelia Island 2 BR / 2 Bath Condo Overlooking Pool


Amelia Landings has impeccably maintained beautiful tree filled grounds just minutes away from downtown Fernandina Beach. The condo is just a few minutes’ walk along a private boardwalk to 1st Ave and a public access to the beach. There is a pool side naturalistic picnic area for family and friends to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery. The pool includes a shower and bathroom, new lounge chairs and several umbrella covered tables with seating. The green & red surfaced tennis court is a short distance beyond the pool. This unit is very nicely furnished and well maintained. It is located on the second floor of a 3 story building. (It is not handicap accessible as there are No Ramps or Elevators on premises.)

Amelia Landings is a pet-free community (No pets allowed). We do not allow smoking either on the balcony or indoors.

Everything was exceptional......from management to cleanliness to location on the grounds. Area was a fantastic staging point for bike rides and having a selection of bars/restaurants nearby. Being directly next to the pool was a plus. We also enjoyed our evenings with the Barred Owl who would sit in the tree nearby. We will stay again in the future.FYI....the amount of live music throughout downtown Fernandina was fantastic and quite surprising!!

This is a very nice condo that is close to everything Amelia has to offer. Mr. Tommy was super nice and made check in an easy process. I definitely recommend staying here especially for a family of four. The outdoor balcony overlooking the pool was our favorite part of the place.

We had a good week at Tommy's place. The availability of pickleball courts was great. Eagan's Creek Greenway is just across the street and we walked it several times. Ft. Clinch, Sliders, and of course the nearby beach were all enjoyable, and we had a great meal at Espana.

The location is nice - there's a path that takes you almost to the beach (you do have to walk in the street for a short part of the way). The pool is nice as well. The condo is updated, and has almost everything you'll need.Now, for the downsides - communication wasn't the best - entry code wasn't sent in advance through the VRBO site as instructions indicated, and I had to message Tommy when we were getting close. He called and gave entry code over the phone, which was fine, but hard to take down while driving.We arrived 2 hours after check-in time, and the apartment was still being cleaned, so we had to wait outside before entry (the cleaning lady was nice, but we had to assist her as well). Some dishes in the cabinets weren't clean. Tommy claims we took some towels (I don't think we did - we only used the bathroom towels, and put them in the washing machine upon leaving - it's possible towels were left in the dryer and got mixed in with our personal laundry, but again - the unit should have been clean upon arrival, and the cleaning lady not so rushed she left things in the dryer), so he charged us 50 damages for two missing towels.Also there was construction on the unit directly under ours and loud noises all through the day. I wouldn't recommend this unit, but other units in the same complex should be fine.

I enjoy outdoor sports spending time there with my girlfriend Karen and my twins. We love to go fishing at the pond on site. We love to ride our bikes through all the paths Amelia has to offer. I recommend you get out and explore all of Amelia you can. You will always want to return to our oasis at the beach. I live at Jacksonville Beach, Florida. It is just 3 blocks from the beach . But Amelia Island is the perfect place for us to go and relax and sit on the back porch have a nice glass of wine and just listen to the ocean. The people you meet there are so friendly and you always leave with new friends most of our quests who stay there keep in touch with some of the local islanders. So come enjoy and kick back and relax, and smell the ocean.

Why they chose this property

I have never found a more beautiful location as quiet and serene. The local cuisine and activities are second to none. Sitting on the deck overlooking the woods and pool is a special place to relax and enjoy a home cooked meal with a glass of wine. I especially enjoy sunrise and sunset walks on the beach and bike rides at low tide early in the morning.

What makes this property unique

The entire community is quite and tend to keep to themselves which is perfect for when I want to escape the hustle and bustle of normal life. Everyone I have talked to has been both personable friendly. The immaculate grounds invite relaxing walks or casual jogs. I routinely jog the grounds or the beach then jump in the pool followed by a bit of relaxing either by the pool or on the deck with a good book. There is a Massage Parlor right around the corner and great shopping.
