Great place to get away for a weekend
My family stayed here on a weekend in May. The checkin was simple as the door was unlocked for us. Shelley, the property owner I assume, was friendly and easy to deal with.
The home was stocked with the basics, including towels and a random assortment of food and seasonings, although we brought our own. My only recommendation would be to add a cork screw and possibly look at making the ice maker functional.
The A/C worked fine, although it was always a little warmer in the master bedroom. But it wasn't an issue.
The carport had ample room for a truck and boat trailer and two SUVs. The backyard was beautiful as well as the view of the bayou. There are a few places a small dog can easily get under the fence, but I made sure to inform the owner. I docked my boat overnight with no issues (thankfully the bayou is also a no wake zone). There was a boat launch rught across the bayou that I used. It appeared to be a community launch as there were multiple houses there, and nobody said anything to me about launching there - very convenient!
I also visited with some of the neighbors and talked to some others while fishing. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I hope to return again very soon!
