Step into Pure Michigan- Peaceful 60 Acres- 15 min from Boyne Mountain

The best place to check out the leaves changing in the fall 🍁, hit the ski slopes ⛷️, minutes from the best snowmobile trails with space to park trailers on our property ❄️. Gorgeous green grass and hiking trails to discover in the summer. This is a unique northern Michigan Barndominium that Sits back in the woods at the end of a long driveway on 60 private acres. It has Shared access with the main lodge (where we currently reside) the barn offers its own privacy. Your view from the back deck is secluded and gives you tons of privacy. The details are in the decor. Perfectly located within easy driving distance to all of the best places in northwest MI. Quiet and peaceful with all the wildlife and greenery.

The property is six miles north of Elmira, MI. All roads leading to Lonesome Grouse Lodge are off the beaten path. You can’t see any neighbors and will rarely hear a car. There is no light pollution; a clear night will reveal the millions of stars you’ve been missing in the city. The bird watching is plentiful. The flowers are blooming. The smores are waiting to be cooked.

1000 SQ foot guest house/ barndominum with private back patio. You will very rarely see us other than to share a camp fire or In passing in the driveway. We do have a small dog (Frenchie) and younger kids in tow.

There is a mile and half walking trail around the property and access to all 60 acres for hiking, snowshoeing or a picnic. You Can grill out while hanging out in your own hammocks (summertime).

We purchased the property in 2020 going into the crazy unknown of Covid times.

We fully renovated the property on our own, including throwing our own wedding here in 2022.

My husband and I grew up in Traverse City and actually went to the same high school. We reconnected during Covid and fell in love.
