Our recent stay was a multigenerational family vacation and our first trip to Costa Rica. The house and pool are beautiful, and the location in the Dulce Vida community at Hacienda Pinilla community was beautiful and was one of the few homes with both golf course and ocean views.Ivana and Nicole were excellent concierge hosts. They were responsive before and throughout our stay, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable. They surprised our son with birthday decorations, a cake, and a charcuterie board, which made his birthday extra special.Maira, our housekeeper, was the true star of the week. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful with meals, laundry, and keeping the house spotless. Using a translation app made communication easy, and she happily cooked mac & cheese and fries for our five boys. Unfortunately, there were several property issues that affected our stay. The kids’ bunk room AC never worked during our entire visit after the unit failed before our arrival, so they had to sleep with fans instead of enjoying the room they were most excited about. The upstairs laundry room was also unusable for the entire stay due to the AC replacement, and we experienced a water pressure issue that was resolved the same day.Overall, we had a wonderful vacation, and the concierge team did everything they could. If the property issues had been fully resolved, this would have easily been a five-star stay.
