700 feet of waterfront on Chain Lake in Lakewood WI. The cottage is on a quite no wake part of the lake but just a 5 minute boat ride to a full recreational part of the lake. Best of both worlds!

House was perfect for our family of 10. Great spaces!! I was a little concerned about 4 of the bedrooms being right next to each other, but no one could hear each other. Beautiful location and so close to 'town'.

Great location with tons of space

This was a great location for our group. The large parcel makes its feel private while still being close to the main road with tons of restaurants and stores nearby.

First family cottage rental in the books

Tried something new since many of our family doesn’t camp any longer. Happy to find such a nice place to house our 16 people. 14 inside and 2 in a tent. We were most impressed with the very spacious kitchen, island, dining area and living room. Plenty of room for numerous coolers for food/beverages. There is even a smaller lower rec area to give some space for groups. An extra frig would’ve been helpful but not essential. Well stocked kitchen with dinnerware, glasses etc Nice to have access to canoe, kayaks and paddleboat. Be aware that there really is no swimming at the dock. Very mucky. One of our dogs got stuck and needed help. There some sand for little ones to play in but not in the water. There are steps to get to the lake so be aware for access needs. The fire pit area near the house was small and only fit 5 so we did relocate it safely to a larger space and notified the owner. The king master suite was spacious and fit an additional queen blowup mattress and a pack n play in the walk in closet for noise control for the little one. Location is great - easy to find and close to local shopping for basic needs and site seeing. The home is a bit weathered: - missing siding on chimney, deck boards half stained and deck didn’t have railing so couldn’t really use table/chair set safely. Tile in master bathroom is starting to loose grout as well as a couple patio table tiles were missing. Nothing that would stop me from renting though.

The host was super welcoming and very responsive during our stay. We had a fun time, but the house is in need of a serious deep cleaning and basic maintenance. You can tell the house has been rented a lot due to wear and tear on walls, doors, and furniture. Many basic household items are past their prime and in need of replacement.
