Banyan Tree Condominium amenities include an oceanfront pool, jetted hot tub, secure elevator and covered (free) parking for 1 vehicle. Across the street is a convenient mini-market, and other shopping is nearby either in the Kona or Keauhou area.

This 2 bedroom, 2 full bath condo has a full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and complete cooking utensils. A stackable washer/dryer is also available for your use. A spacious and comfortable living area adjoins the master bedroom; both overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean.

Great view and value

The location and place was great. It could use a little updating but nothing to stop us from coming back. Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and a lot of fun stuff like snorkels, hats, board and coolers. Easy communication with owners. Would stay again.

Amazing balcony view!!!

The place is awesome with an unbeatable view!! Clean and comfortable. A touch warm at night, but with the windows and fans it was fine. We will certainly return and recommend!!

Loved this place! Perfect vacation.

We (4 adults) spent 2 weeks on the Big Island and this was the perfect place. Everyday all day entertainment just outside our balcony by the surfing regulars of Kona ; perfect sunsets, including one green flash ; convenient, dedicated parking space, appliances, scuba gear, and all kinds of amenities, great beds, beautiful hawaiian furniture and artwork on the walls ; fabulous uncrowded common area, also facing the sunset with a lovely pool, hot tub and barbeque setup.

Great ocean view place!

My friend and I stayed for a week here and the view is absolutely breathtaking. You get to see the sun set over the ocean every night. And usually lots of surfers are out as well. It's a bit of a drive to get to the prettiest beaches on the island, but other than that the location is close enough to town. We enjoyed our stay!

amazing, we were here for 5 nights and I'm sorry it wasn't more. such a beautiful view of the ocean that we didn't want to go anywhere. Enough space for 4 people, equipped with everything you need.

Banyan Tree Happiness

We loved staying at this very special oceanfront complex. The unit was a bit dated but the price was right for our 10 day stay! Kona Coffee on the Lanai is the best as the sun appears on the ocean. The view fantastic for sunsets, watching surfers, paddlers and ocean surprises …dolphins. Would have loved to see a whale or two, but our stay was a bit early for whale season. Yes, recommend this unit during winter months as there is no a/c.

Everything we wanted

This VRBO could benefit from some cosmetic updating, but it’s obviously well cared for and immediately cleaned. The huge windows provide a great view of the Banyan surf spot which appears to be popular from sunrise to sunset. Speaking of sunsets, they were spectacular as well. We would definitely stay here again.

AMAZING!!!

This property was PERFECT! The view is unbeatable - worth every penny on it's own! Abby, the property manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us (and my often demanding in-laws...sorry Abby!!!!!!). The apartment is well furnished, comfortable, and had everything we needed for an extended stay. The grounds are magnificent and the pool area is perfect. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great view, location and very comfortable

This condo has a great location on the oceanfront and not far from town. We found the recliner, swivel chairs to be very comfortable which is really important to us. The unit was very well equipped including two beach chairs, a beach umbrella and a boogie board. The unit was quiet except for the ocean waves which we enjoyed. There is no AC but the ocean breeze and fans kept us quite comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice room, great location.

Location and floor plan of room are great. Wonderful views! Reserved parking space and elevator are nice bonuses. Very peaceful, probably because there are only 20 units.There's a lot to like about this unit, we really enjoyed our stay. A couple of negatives, code entry lock did not work, had to call property management to get in.The light in the kitchen needed both flourescent tubes replaced, had to call building maintenance. The light fixture in the main bath started strobing, needs repair. There was no latch on the screen door so the flow thru ventilation could have been better. Carpet was in bad shape, maintanance said it's scheduled for replacement. It's a great unit but it needs a little attention. We would gladly stay there again.

location wonderful

location wonderful, loved watching the suffers off the Lani,condo had all the things you needed for your stay, including beach chairs, snorkel gear and cooler. The furniture was not like pictured and not comfortable .The worst was the carpet was very dirty and frayed, not at all what we expected. the beds were old with foam toppers and made it warm to sleep on with no air conditioning, and not very comfortable . The water and dryer were nice and worked good. Kitchen was well equipped. Towels nice and beach towels were included, the pool was great with not many people taking advantage of it. We only used the hot tub once while we were there in the pool homeless people were in the Hot tub and they closed it down the rest of our 2 weeks .

Excellent vacation rental

Comfortable, well maintained unit in convenient location. Close to Kona while far enough away from tourist hubbub. Close to Kahaluu Beach for awesome snorkeling (get there early). Great view of the ocean and a nice pool to swim in and lounge around along side the inexorable and melodious waves. Frequent Spinner dolphin and occasional whale sitings from the lanai. Have stayed here before and hope to again. All in all, a marvelous place. Of note, the owner/property manager should be aware that window adjacent sliding glass door leaks from the top during windswept rain.

Kailua Ocean!

Fantastic location. Spent happy hours on the balcony quietly reading in the morning, watching surfers, sunsets, & just the beautiful ocean. Unit was clean and spacious. As one other person noted, it's exactly as in the photos. It could use a little update - new fan in guest bedroom (a/c there would be great), and quieter exhaust fan in main bathroom. On the whole it was great. Would certainly recommend it to others!

Quiet area and beautiful sunsets

We enjoyed staying at this condo. We took some wonderful sunset pictures, and we often had the pool to ourselves. It definitely was the best place for surfers since we were able to watch them sunrise to sunset from our lanai. We even saw dolphins! No air conditioning, and it was very warm when we arrived. It helped to keep the sliding doors open during the night, and then close up the windows and blinds in the morning. Another fan would have been appreciated since one of them didn't work. (I left a note for housekeeping.) Lots to see in the area.

Nice warm getaway.

The pros of our stay were the location, oceanfront with a swimming pool and assigned covered parking. The cons were (for the street side bedroom) traffic and neighbor noise and the rooster crowing (and not just at Sun up). We have stayed at this location multiple times and enjoy the pros over other locations. Floor plans are generally very similar and not as busy as the larger buildings. The unit we were in was in need of some minor maintenance and upgrades, but was the best rate of all the rest of the units and our visit and memories more than made up for any minor inconveniences.

On Top of the Ocean!

This was a great property to stay in, especially if you like to be near the ocean. When you enter the place you feel like you are on a boat as the main windows are above the sea. It is also a favorite surfer spot so plenty of free entertainment from the deck. Unit is well supplied for all you need on your Hawaiian vacation. Host is quick to respond. A few downsides - very old furniture, including a couch that is almost unusable, unit does get hot (but sunshades on window provided and can open windows/screens), and an insane amount of property rules. However, if you love the sound, sight, and smell of the ocean this place can't be beat! There were just 2 of us but can fit 4 comfortably. For what you get it is a pretty good deal for being oceanfront.

Perfect!

This condo was perfect for my family of four. The kitchen was fully equipped, and they had everything we needed for the beach (chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, bamboo mats, beach towels, much appreciated thank you!). We were there in July with temperatures in the 90s and the fans kept the place cool. I thought we would miss having A/C, but seriously this place was great without it. The view out the wall of windows facing the ocean was incredible. Sometimes it was hard to leave the condo to go exploring because it was so comfortable and relaxing there. =) The condo has lots of nice touches, it really feels homey, not just a sterile condo. And the best part -- falling asleep to the sound of the waves. We met several people who live full time in the complex, and they were all really friendly, and gave us great tips on where to go on the island. This is a great condo and I really hope to stay here again someday.

The plus on this place is the view and that was about it.It started with the bathrooms being filthy, gross. I had to wash the shower curtain in one bathroom twice just to get some of the filth off of it.It was starting to grow mold on the shower curtain in the master bathroom. The second bathroom has hole in wall where the toilet paper holder was to be.Really bad Hair dryer when I went to use it had bared wires and shocked me.Bathroom rug in master bathroom was so gross I placed it in entryway along with hairdryer so they would see them. Cleaning products that we found were wet ones wipes. Refrigerator was leaking water on the floor definitely needs to be replaced. Kitchen is a little small and works for 1 to 2 people in it at a time. The dryer wasn’t drying the clothes or towels after an hour of running. Beds were bad.One was so bad that they tried to sleep in the living room floor with the mattress still didn’t help. The carpet in living room had really bad stains and needs replacing. Only slept 1 night on floor due to carpet condition.Couch could use new cushions great base. The wiring really needs fixed throughout the Condo, shortages lights not working.When ceiling fan is on in master bedroom it blows ceiling stuff all over the dresser and bed. Lights over sink went out, no replacements. Beautiful view from the lanai but the furniture is so old and rusted out we were afraid of them breaking.No air conditioner. Which wouldhelped vs the fans. Stay at Hilton!!
