About this property

Amazing views -Three bedroom home between Cody and the East Gate to Yellowstone

The Dunton Ranch of Wyoming is located in the beautiful Wapiti Valley and what Teddy Roosevelt called the most scenic 51 miles in America. It is situated along the North Fork of the Shoshone River in Shoshone National Forest, between Cody and the eastern entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The location is named after the Cree Indian word for elk.

This beautiful three bedroom, two and a half bath home sits on 25 acres with amazing views in every direction. The house can only accommodate a total of six people total including adults and children. Our insurance will not allow extra people on air mattresses or couches.

Large living room and open kitchen and dining room. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need. There is a gas BBQ grill outside along with seating to enjoy your morning coffee, meals or just to just star gaze. High speed starlink internet and a smart television for streaming if you do need to catch up on your favorite shows.

Bedroom one has a king bed with attached full bath
Bedroom two has a queen bed
Bedroom three has two twin beds
Second bathroom is a full bath and third bath is a half bath.

*This property does not have AC. However, at night temperatures drop to the 55 or 60 degrees and low to no humidity, keeping the windows closed during the day then opening windows at night cools the property down and lets in the fresh mountain air!

Cody is approximately sixteen miles east of the ranch and is the rodeo capital of the world The Cody Nite Rodeo runs every night June through the end of August at 8pm
You have to make time for the Buffalo Bill Center of the West which is 5 museums under one roof. In downtown Cody there is shopping and many great restaurants. There is also river rafting, ATV rentals, and fishing guides.

The Dunton Ranch is located just 16 miles from Cody, 36 miles from the East gate to Yellowstone National Park and just 5 miles from the Shoshone National Forest where the hiking trails are endless. The entire Shoshone River opens for fishing on July 1st. Several of the local guest ranches offer two hour, four hour, and all day horseback rides and outdoor BBQ dinners. We keep a few of our older horses at the ranch so we may be able offer pony rides for our younger guests.
