About this property
Modern St Michaels estate -Pier, Pool, Gas fire pit, Bikes, Kayaks
Welcome to Ingleton! EARLY CHECKIN AND LATECHECKOUT OCTOBER. Relax by the pool. Fish or crab or picnic at the end of the pier. Do all three. Go biking. Go hiking. Go kayaking. Visit historic St. Michaels, Easton and Oxford. Watch the sunset from the Adirondack chairs at the water's edge. Eat. Shop. Play golf. Play yard games. Play board games. Play with the kids. Or do nothing at all. 7 day minimum summer- 3 day minimum all other times! NEW THIS SUMMER! We put in an osprey platform and a young couple moved in and we hope for babies Memorial Day! Watch for bald eagles and great blue herons all year, and from November to March, the migratory ducks and geese!
Our modern home on 2 ½ acres is the perfect spot for your next family vacation. Fabulous water views from nearly every room. Wake up, grab a cup of coffee, relax in bed and just gaze at the water. Or take your coffee outside and sit in the Adirondack chairs, or out on the pier, for a really close up view.
When you are ready to start the day, if you want to do more that just sit by the pool, take out the list of activities we’ll give you. Places to see, things to do, easy bike rides, challenging bike rides, shops to visit, restaurants to try. Finish your day with your favorite beverage watching the sunset from the Adirondack chairs. Your days will be full.
If you are not from the area, there are easy day trips to Annapolis, Washington, D.C., and the beautiful sandy beaches of Maryland and Delaware. But it may be hard to find the time because you can easily fill your week without going more than 15 minutes in any direction.
We have four bikes for your use. The terrain is flat and the biking is easy. If you have a boat, you can get to our pier by water up the Miles River, or by trailer to a boat launch about a mile or two from the house. We provide three double and four single kayaks. It's an easy kayak across the sheltered waters to an undeveloped island and beach directly behind the house. We have pool toys, yard games and hammocks for your outdoor enjoyment. We have internet at the pool and you can usually get it in the Adirondack chairs by the water.
While summer is an obvious time to come, fall is spectacular, winter is time to relax by the fireplace, sip wine and enjoy the water views, and spring is time to get back outside. We have a gas fire pit down by the water for warming up (and for s’mores)!
Our house is perfect for one to three families. There are two bedrooms with king beds and private baths. There are two more bedrooms (queen bed in one and twins in the other) with private baths. There is an upstairs family room that sleeps two (Great Views!) on a queen Murphy bed. The dining room sits up to ten comfortably and the modern kitchen makes it easy to cook for a crowd (or heat up the leftovers from some of the area’s great restaurants). If you absolutely must work, there is a first floor office with desk, a table in the upstairs great room, high speed internet and a wi-fi printer.
We provide linens and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped. We welcome dogs for a fee as long as they are approved and trained, and babies even if they are not. We ask only that you treat our house as you would your own. It’s not just a rental; we use it all the time.
