This was a beautiful older home with lots of space and plenty of room for our group. Celebrated my mom’s 75th bday. The home and property were absolutely gorgeous and so relaxing. Highly recommend if you need space for a larger group.
Great place! The oak trees are wonderful. The hosts were helpful, attentive and responsive. We had a small group of 7, and the roominess was perfect for us. The pool and yard were great, and the serenity of the location was just what we were hoping for. Thank you!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oak Tree Manor. The setting is beautiful with all the old Oak trees and such a peaceful setting. Large house with plenty of spaces for little groups to visit and two large dining tables to accommodate all 10 of us. Would definitely go there again!
Oak Tree Manor is a top-knotch place to stay. Everything is family friendly and clean. The large rooms have a lot of comfortable furniture with beautiful views of the well groomed grounds. The hostess is the best I have ever dealt with as far as keeping in touch with us prior to arrival, during our stay ( we had two easy questions for her), and how she followed up after our stay. If the rating accommodations and management of this property has a possible ten star rating, that is the rating I would give.
This home was beautiful and spacious! We had a big group of friends and this home was wonderful w plenty areas to sit and visit. Beautiful home and even more beautiful land/view. Pool was great!
This is my second time booking this property. It's easily one of my top rentals EVER. The location, serenity, space, cleanliness, and just overall peace. I'm totally in love with this place. Not to mention the hosts are so kind and amazing. It's just the best. I'm looking forward to our next booking.
We really enjoyed our stay at such a gorgeous property! The property managers were so welcoming and very prompt to reply when we had questions. Beautiful, clean home and well taken care of.
We booked Oak Tree Manor for a college reunion of 10, Property was perfect for our needs, with plenty of room inside and out. We spent about half our time at the pool and covered patio area and the rest inside the large kitchen and living areas. Two streaming TVs and the pool table gave everyone options. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pans. 3 large bedrooms downstairs with two bedrooms and two baths upstairs. We would book again.
The home is spacious, well arranged, and accommodating . Plenty of room for people and belongings. Pool is lovely, clean and refreshing. The crowning jewel is laying eyes on the 500 yr old oak tree. Breath taking, inspiring and beautiful beyond words. Wonderful yard and pastures with livestock make sunrise and sunset spectacular.
Absolutely stunning! What an honor to see such beautiful trees and we enjoyed every facet of our stay! The journey of finding and seeing all of the rooms and what each room had to offer; the poolside morning coffee watching the sun rise; the guest house, the old barn and the space available - all were fantastic. We truly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you so much! Everyone was easy to work with and took care of us -very good care, would stay here again!
Our whole family stayed at this beautiful property for the Waco Ironman. It was amazing! So comfortable, beautiful and close to town - it felt like we were very far out, but really, it was a short drive into Waco. Could not have been better. We did have a toilet leak downstairs, but texted the property manager and a repairman was out to the house and it was fixed within a couple of hours - on a Friday night!
When we arrived we were greeted by one of the property managers, who was there trying to resolve a problem with the pool created by the previous renters turning off the pump. He explained the issue and from then on our contact with Dustin and Jessica was ongoing. They were very helpful with everything from explaining nearest stores to checking in on the status of the pool. Although it was safe to use after day 2, they have us a partial refund because of our inconvenience.
As pleasant as the communication was with property management, we know that’s not why we get vacation rentals. The house surpassed our expectations. The home had plenty of room for 11 (or more) people to spread out without getting in each others’ ways. We had 2 toddlers with us with a heat index outside of over 100°. They had plenty of room to run around inside and play games. We had room to play games such as Minute to Win It where we were jumping across rooms in teams or bouncing ping pong balls across the floor. Plenty of large beds to comfortably sleep as well.
I loved this house and if/when we return to Waco I plan to stay at this home again or one of the many VRBO homes managed by Dustin and Jessica’s group, D&L Vacation Rentals.
There were 13 of us and we had plenty of room in the house. Our 3 kids (age 9 and younger) really enjoyed the pool. Any issues we had were promptly dealt with by Sarah via text and our issues were very minor. I would recommend this location highly and if we are to ever be back in the Waco area, this is where we would want to stay.
Our family owned this property until 30 years ago and it seemed appropriate for a large family reunion to replicate our last reunion 40 years ago. My brother and his wife, his daughter and partner, and my sister checked in for the weekend Friday afternoon. Except for some outdoor additions (pool and cabana), the interior felt as though we never left except is was cleaner, lighter and more welcoming now as a VRBO property. Our reunion included 25 members, minus our parents, but now reunited with additional grandkids (5) and great grandkids (6!). Even the weather cooperated allowing all to congregate outside around the pool with tours of the 1800’s cabin (where Penelope lived and the horse barn, now barren but with all 12 stalls filled with our Arabians. We reviewed pictures from the previous reunion and the previous stories for all to hear about our horse farm days. We resolved to annually reunite maybe next year during Kentucky Derby weekend which was watched as we did 40 years ago with great enthusiasm. Final picture under the old oak tree finished our Saturday, but kids wanted another day at the pool, so back to BBQ and pizza for a second round. Thanks to the current owners from the past guard for allowing a revisit to the past for the future generations.
