Another great time at the cabin. A nice secluded spot where you can relax while having so much to see and do in the FLX area. We had a mix of hiking and winery visits during the day while enjoying stars through our telescope by a campfire at night. Already looking forward to next year.
It was charming. Perfect for our 7-month old Lab puppy to stretch his legs, off leash. The pond was clean and terrific for his swimming. The large mouth bass were impressive with a bit of the fishfood provided. We initially had a bee/wasp problem that the host worked diligently to resolve. It’s nature, and took a couple of days to knock them out completely. I am happy we brought our toaster oven/air fryer for broader cooking options, though the propane stove was great and the full-size refrigerator, too. I enjoyed walking the farm grounds morning and evening with our pup.During our week we drove to and around Seneca and Keuka lakes, took a sightseeing cruise on Seneca lake, walked the Watkins Glen Park Gorge trail, visited wineries... played cribbage and backgammon, really a laid-back time we wanted away from our busy home life.
Excellent hospitality and communication from the hosts. Cabin was comfortable, well stocked and in a peaceful, remote location, but close enough to the waterfall hikes we were there for. Wifi not great but we had a full house trying to use it, and actually preferred the technology disconnect for a weekend! Would definitely stay here again.
Great little place with a lot of charm. Unfortunately our stay was cut short mainly due to weather, but the place is perfect for a getaway. Its nice and secluded and our dog had plenty of room for exploration. Would definitely recommend and will be returning once weather is a tad warmer.
The cabin was a perfect fit for our anniversary weekend away. It was our first time visiting the finger lakes region. I ran the Wineglass Half Marathon on Sunday and my wife and I explored the area and Watkins Glen as well. We really liked the seclusion of the cabin and the trails all around it were nice as well. Hope to visit this area again and will look to stay at Kermit’s cabin again.
Great little cabin. Couple small issues in the beginning. Easily got ahold of the owners. Everything that was needed was available. Great location. Great property. Would love to stay again! Thank you
The property was really cute as pictured and on a nice piece of land that makes it very peaceful. There are mindful details (such as a kids stool under the sink) which were appreciated.
Exactly what it looks like. Amenities were all great. Property manager was amazing and communicative. The property is a hidden haven of quiet, outdoors and stars. Book it! Traveled with kids and dog, all enjoyed to the fullest.
It was a nice cozy little cabin on a peaceful piece of ground. Remote yet easy to find. Inline water heater was awesome, refrigerator and stove were brand new. The beds were quite comfortable and the linens were nice.
Everything you need. Peaceful and quiet. Didn’t realize other campers would be staying so close to us though. Woke up to others in the front yard and beyond.
We had a great time staying at this wonderful cabin. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Can’t say enough good things about the property and the responsiveness of the hosts. When we weren’t out enjoying the parks, lakes and scenery, we were able to relax on the porch and unplug. We traveled with our dog and he spent many hours sleeping on the porch while he waited for his next adventure. We’ve never seen him so relaxed on vacation. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect small cabin on a secluded section toward the back of the property. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch overlooking the field and meadow. Plenty of birds flying around. Evenings started on the porch then moved to the fire pit. A very peaceful spot.
Destiny and the family are great hosts. Be sure to take advantage of buying their fresh eggs. They are very tasty. They also sell firewood for the fire pit.
We had a great time and are looking to return in the future.
