About this property

Cozy Quiet Mountain Gem

For those seeking solitude…..you know who you are… Toast marshmallows and watch the stars at our high altitude, low light pollution mountain paradise gem, privately nestled in a tall pine and aspen forest. Very private, very quiet. At 9,300 feet, the summers are cool, the wildflowers are plentiful and the stars are bright.

Sip your coffee on the deck and maybe the local moose, elk or deer will pay you a visit.
Wildlife you won’t miss- mosquitos! Enjoy your stay in our mosquito free environment.
Sleep upstairs on a queen sized bed or downstairs on the full sized sofa sleeper. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, table settings, basic kitchen appliances, cooking utensils. Keurig coffee maker, (including K-cups), microwave and fridge with freezer.

Internet is not provided although the cell phone signal is sufficient enough for most tasks.
We know how important a campfire in the mountains is and as local bans and contidions permit, safe campfires are always welcome. However, if a campfire is temprarily off limits, a gas alternative is provided.
Pets are not allowed due to issues with allergies. Star gazing is especially amazing as it is a high elevation with little light pollution.

The local Cotopaxi Store is about 20 minutes away. They carry gas, groceries, deli, meats and at least one of everything else you could need.

Mountain towns: looking for local shops, restaurants and strolls? Salida and Canon City are both about 45 minutes away.

Looking for some hot springs? There is an indoor hot springs pool in Salida. Mount Princeton is just past Salida with its renowned hot springs.

White Water Rafting: Some of the best in Colorado along the Arkansas River!

Royal Gorge, home of the highest suspension bridge in the US, is a 50 minute drive from the cabin.

Visiting in the Winter? Monarch Mountain is about an hour's drive.

Peaceful Mountain Tiny House
Cozy little tiny home tucked away in the hills of Colorado. We enjoyed the seclusion and privacy. You’ll feel very connected to nature with several deer sightings, chipmunks, and hummingbirds. The cabin has a well stocked kitchen with extras like s’mores, popcorn, hot chocolate, tea, and coffee! The bathroom homemade bar soap was a cute personal touch! It’s a perfect spot for a couples getaway!

Holiday Getaway
Such a lovely little cabin. Very well stocked with pans, cups, utensils, etc. beautiful view @ night of the stars and moon. We were greeted by a cute neighborhood dog named Nutmeg. Just be sure to get groceries before getting there. The town has limited options!

An intimate escape
Spent the night here with my husband, and felt like we were able to escape the world. The tiny house was clean and comfortable, and the sunrise in the morning was spectacular.
