Last trip before School Year 24/25

We came down on Wednesday night arriving early Thursday morning. We did a bunch of souvenir shopping and sightseeing. We were tired and ready to be out of the car. It was only 11a. A simple call and we were able to switch to an early check in no problems at all. From that point forward nothing has disappointed.

Hi!
We’re Amanda and Brian Jensen—founders of Sanctuary Treehouse Resort in Sevierville, Tennessee, right at the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We’re a family-run team, and everything here was built with one goal: to create a place that brings people together and brings out that “kid again” feeling—without giving up modern day comforts.

We’re from East Tennessee and have spent our lives loving these mountains, the people, and the magic of the Smokies. Hosting is personal to us. We don’t just offer a place to sleep—we create an "experience" you’ll talk about for years. From the moment you arrive, you’ll find thoughtful touches, playful surprises, and one-of-a-kind details you won’t see anywhere else. It's all in the details!

What we enjoy most is meeting guests from all over the country (and the world!) and hearing how their stay became a favorite family memory—birthday trips, anniversaries, reunions, proposals, “first vacations,” and much-needed resets. We’ve poured our hearts into every treehouse, and we’re still moved by the stories, letters, and reviews our guests leave behind.

Our story is still being written — and we’re just getting started. As the world’s first and largest interactive treehouse resort, our dreams are big and our goals are even bigger.

Explore our expansion plans at www.treehouseresort.com, and be sure to join our email list and follow us on social for exclusive updates, early access, and a first look at what we’re building next.

If you’re looking for something beyond the typical cabin or hotel—something immersive, fun, and unforgettable—we’d be honored to host you. Welcome to your next core memory.

Why they chose this property

We chose this location because it feels like a true Smoky Mountain escape—peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature—yet it’s still close to everything that makes the area so fun. Our treehouses sit on 40 wooded acres overlooking two championship golf courses, with sweeping views of the Great Smoky Mountains and the Little Pigeon River. The “neighborhood” here is made up of trees, wildlife, sunsets, and fresh mountain air—and that’s exactly what we wanted for our guests.

What we enjoy most is the balance: you can wake up to birdsong and sip coffee in the treetops, spend your day exploring the Smokies or our 1-mile on site scavenger hunt with treasure awaiting at the end, shopping, dining, or visiting local attractions. Then come back to quiet evenings under the stars with a fire.

It feels remote in the best way—like you’ve discovered a hidden sanctuary—without being far from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville conveniences.
We also love how scenic and walkable the property is. Guests can stroll the resort, take in the overlooks, and enjoy our community fire pit and outdoor kitchen area. Whether you’re here for relaxation, family fun, or a romantic getaway, this setting gives you space to unplug, reconnect, and experience the Smokies from a truly unforgettable vantage point.

What makes this property unique

Sanctuary Treehouse Resort is unlike anything else in the Smoky Mountains (or the world for that matter) because it’s not just a place to sleep — it’s a full-on treehouse "experience" designed to bring back childlike wonder, while still delivering true modern day comfort and luxury.

We are the world’s first and largest treehouse resort, set on 40 private wooded acres in Sevierville, Tennessee with sweeping views of two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Little Pigeon River, and the Great Smoky Mountains. Every stay feels secluded in nature, yet you’re minutes from the area’s best dining, shopping, and attractions in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg.

What truly sets us apart is that every treehouse is uniquely themed and packed with custom, interactive features you won’t find anywhere else — think 20- foot slides, swings, rope climbs, secret ladders, bucket pulley's, drink chutes, interactive furniture, and playful details built to make families (and grown-ups) smile.

Our treehouses are handcrafted with character, then elevated with modern amenities so you don’t have to “rough it” to be in the trees.
Custom in house made furniture that is sure to leave you saying, "WOW!"

Guests also love our 1-mile scavenger hunt adventure across the 40 acre property — a memorable, complimentary experience that turns your stay into an activity-filled getaway. We provide the map, compasses, and flashlights - you go on the adventure! Be sure to gather your treasure when you find the secret creature!

Add in warm hospitality, 5-star guest VIP service and amenities, and a destination built by a family who truly poured their hearts into every detail, and you get a stay that people don’t just remember… they talk about for years.
