We really enjoyed our stay here. It has a large fenced yard, which was perfect for my dogs to be able to go out and run around and play. You can sit outside around a fire in the evening. The home is very cute and clean. Walking distance to a Mexican restaurant and coffee shop. Another few local restaurants in close driving distance. Go to Back Porch Pub and Grill, sit outside and chat with the owner, Dan. Short drive to state parks for hiking and sightseeing. Johnson’s Shut Ins was definitely our favorite, even if it was very crowded Labor Day weekend.

Independence Day weekend getaway!

Everything was perfect! This was easily the most convenient, clean and comfortable home we've rented. Walking distance within a great little Mexican restaurant, a dollar general and an ATM right across the street...but still felt private and secluded. The home has everything you need, and all the little details you didn't know you needed. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to messages, and gave great suggestions on local things to do. Five stars all the way around, could not recommend this stay enough!

Our family wanted somewhere to stay close to Elephant Rocks and this little house was perfect! Great area upstairs for our young kids to play and overall a comfortable home. Thank you for sharing it with us!!

Great Place

Very nice little home close to great State Parks. House was clean and felt very comfortable. There was a diner ( Desi’s Diner) a few blocks away we walked to and enjoyed in the morning. Very nice stay for a family with 2 young children.

Cute home in a perfect location

We all loved the neat upstairs bedroom! The back yard was big and the kids really enjoyed playing out there. We all thought the beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. Without question, we will stay here again when we return to Ironton.

Cute house near square and Wheelhouse

This property is in a good location. It is very close to the square and the mountain biking wheelhouse. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It also has a good sized fenced-in backyard, which is perfect for dogs.

Perfect for a family getaway

This home is perfect for a family getaway. It's charming and well cared for, with many thoughtful touches and amenities throughout. Our kids loved having their own space upstairs to sleep and play. This is a perfect location for Elephant Rocks, Johnson Shut-ins, Taum Sauk, floating, the Bonne Terre mines, and much more. Thank you for a great stay!

It does not get any better

We stay in ironton to spend time with other family 3-4 times a year. Most of these times we use a VRBO for the stay. So we have stayed in about every place possible in the ironton area and this by far is the best place, best owners and best location. It is in our opinion the best VRBO in the area

A fun 3-day weekend

The property was beautiful from top to bottom, inside and out. Anna has done great work in this and keeps your stay feeling lighthearted anytime you are in the house. I had a couple special requests to help celebrate a birthday and she pulled through and helped out perfectly. We will definitely be coming back again.

Trip to Ironton to visit family

We had a wonderful time. The house fit 6 of us comfortably. We enjoyed the play area upstairs for the kids as they loved playing the games. The kitchen had everything we needed in it for meals. We also made a meal and brought it to my sons using their storage containers. We loved having all of the things we would have at home. We will definitely book again.

Home was comfortable and had everything we needed. We did not use the upstairs since we had all we needed on the main level. Music festival at the courthouse 1 block away. House is on corner of the main street but was quiet inside. The back door you step down to get outside of door. A little awkward but nothing that would stop me from renting this home. The door to back fence from driveway drags so a little hard to open. Sidewalks in neighborhood makes it easy to walk around neighborhood. Grocery store close by.

Belated Anniversary Trip

We had a wonderful stay at the bungalow! Anna was extremely kind and responsive. The bungalow was very cute, cozy and provided all the amenities we needed that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our dogs also enjoyed their freedom with the fenced-in backyard! The property is located on a corner lot which is just a block from downtown. It was a nice, short walk to the local boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants & Fall Mtn Music Festival. We didn't realize how busy the drive-up ATM across the street and the road that led into downtown would be...possibly because of work/school days and the music festival weekend. If you enjoy hiking, visit Elephant Rocks State Park, Taum Sauk Mtn, Johnson's Shut-Ins and Marble Creek Shut-Ins...beautiful scenery! There's also many good choices for places to eat in the Arcadia Valley. Visited this area many times with my grandparents as a child, and it was such a heartwarming experience revisiting these places and making new memories with my husband.

Fantastic Spring Break Stay

We booked a short stay so we could visit local parks. This was such a great idea. We were able to hike during the day and chill in the house in the evening. The house was very cute. Well decorated and clean, we were very comfortable in the house. It is situated right off the corner of town... within walking distance to a coffee shop, a convenient store and several local shops. The town is very small but it met our needs well. The property manager was great. I messaged her several times and she was always very quick to respond. Check in was super easy, as was check out. The house was pet friendly but you definitely couldn't tell there are ever animals in the house. It was great for our little dogs. And the backyard is fenced in...perfect. I noticed other houses in the area had firepits. This one did not but the property manager allowed us to bring one. The patio was perfect for a small firepit and there were plenty of chairs. The kitchen was fully stocked...crockpot, griddle, you name it. We are already talking about staying again. There were several local trails we didn't get to. If you stay, be sure to check out the fresh squeezed lemonade at Iron Dogs...1 block away, and the street tacos at Checos...1 block in the other direction. Stop thinking about it and book it already... it's worth it!

Beautifully Decorated

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was perfect for 5 people. My children really enjoyed having their own (very large!) space. The stairs up to the kid space are quite steep so just keep that in mind. My kids did not have any issue. The home is beautifully decorated and includes absolutely everything you could need. Many thoughtful touches throughout. I also appreciated the charging stations/plugs on the nightstands.
