Welcome to Ah Ho Pines Retreat! Where modern meets the outdoors at our newly renovated cabin in the heart of Pinetop.

Each room has its own A/C, heater, and fan.

45 minutes to Sunrise Ski Park
15 to Downtown Center in Show Low

We are located on an acre lot surrounded by trees, fully fenced offering privacy. This family-friendly retreat that is close to Rainbow Lake access and close to restaurants. With brand new furniture and appliances, front and back patio, and ample parking, it's the perfect escape.

Our retreat is the perfect destination for families seeking a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can immerse yourself in the harmonious blend of modern style and natural beauty of the pine trees surrounding the property.

As you enter the cabin, you'll be wowed by the vaulted wood ceiling and a dramatic entertainment wall in the middle of the house with a backdrop of large pine trees through 2 large windows. The living is complete with comfortable seating, fireplace, and 70” 4K TV. The open-concept design ensures a spacious and airy atmosphere, perfect for family gathering.

The fully-equipped kitchen comes complete with modern appliances, cookware, and a huge island countertop. You can gather around the dining table, or take your meals outside to the patio with expandable dining table. We also have a Solo Stove Fire Pit and additional seating located in between tall pine trees.

The master bedroom upstairs features a plush king sized bed with walk-in closet and full bathroom with awesome view of the pine trees. The second bedroom also features a plush kind sized bed. We have 2 queen sofa sleepers. One in the upstairs loft and the other in our living room (perfect for children and extra guest)

The dining table has 8 chairs. There is also seating for 4 at the kitchen island, and a picnic table on the back patio that can accommodate 8 people.

** For our Summer bookings: we have 3 12,000BTU Mini Split units. One in each bedroom and one in the living room. We also have fans in every room as well.

Other things to note
The house is equipped with high-speed wi-fi, smart TVs (in the family room and master bedroom), and Sonos smart speakers.

Please note that smoking is not permitted on the premises. Any cigarette butts found on the property will incur a charge.

Other things to note

*We have professional pest control come out regularly to treat out property however this property is in the mountains and as such has the same critters around that all mountain properties have. Spiders and mosquitos may be found.

*We do not provide fuel for the bbq grill. However we do have two tanks on site that may or may not have fuel in them from previous guests. Propane tanks can be filled at the Ace Hardware nearby. Please make sure to turn off tank handles when done.

Please remember that you are staying in our family cabin, not a hotel. If problems arise, we will do our very best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living onsite 24/7. We appreciate you treating our space with respect!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Not only does it look exactly like the photos this place was beautiful and well kept. It had everything there that you would need. A great stay and would definitely stay again. Everything is stocked so well and clean. 2 porches, bbq grill, fire pit, hammock etc. They nailed it with this one. It is a must stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The interior was nice and had everything we needed. The sound system was fantastic. The host was very accommodating. The house just 5 minutes away from the main street that runs through town which was very convenient. The setting was a bit more rural than we expected but the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful and we really ended up really liking it.

The house was very clean. Appears to be recently remodeled on the inside. The property is fenced and our dog was able to roam around the property of course we were always with her. Watching the sunrises from the upstairs bedroom deck was really nice. Hummingbirds and swallows would fly around the front yard every morning. Don was very responsive. This was the break we needed from the West Valley heat!

Great Getaway

Luxury in the pines

The inside of the home is decorated beautifully, updated, and very nice. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we had very comfortable beds. There is a fire pit area outside. You can have a fire if you want or just walk around the surrounding area. The location was nearby other things so that was great.

The house is remodeled beautifully. The kitchen is very well stocked woth all the essentials needed for creating a great meal. It is very clean and easy to live in. The yard area was a bit rustic and overgrown for our taste.

Nice cabin in Pinetop-Lakeside!

I personally appreciated the space and decor. The welcome goodies and note card was such a nice touch. It worked great for our family of 4. We really enjoyed a fire at night too. Thanks for having us.

Amazing Stay!

This is an outstanding property. This is newly remodeled and beautifully decorated. The owner has everything you need and is labeled to locate easily. The TVs and sound system are top-of-the-line. Great getaway

This home is beautiful and my family really enjoyed our stay. The lake is only a few minutes away but if just want to relax and drink coffee on the balcony this is the place to do it. Thank you for the unforgettable trip Don! My oldest (7 yr old) gave this trip a 14/10.

Loved this property. Close to everything we needed. Super clean, loved the fact that everything was labeled. Could t have asked for a better weekend. We drove our electric vehicle, wife was concerned there was not gonna be a place to charge, outlets were there with east access. Will definitely do this again. Thank you Don

Great, cozy place!

We loved our stay at this home! The views are amazing and the home is very clean with everything you need. A nice big kitchen and dining table. Love all the windows! There is a big TV downstairs and in the upstairs bedroom. There are three beautiful patios to enjoy the outdoors, including one right off the upstairs bedroom. Very private property with an acre of land and outside seating with a fire pit. We enjoyed a small fire and making s’mores. They even have it decorated for Christmas with a gorgeous tree and had several board games. Feels like home away from home. We can hardly wait to come again! Compliments to the host who made our stay perfect and stayed in close communication.

Decent stay, but a few things to note

Pros:The home smelled clean upon arrival and had a nice, modern interior. The host left some snacks and a thank you note for our stay. The couches were comfortable, and the bed and bedding were especially cozy. This is rare as most rentals we find have extremely uncomfortable beds. We appreciated how many things were clearly labeled in the kitchen and throughout. The fake fireplace and Sonos speakers were our favorite features. The front patio was a highlight—it was fully gated, making it a great space to relax with our dogs. The location was decent, and the neighborhood seemed “ok”; the few people who walked or drove by were friendly. Cons:The yard felt a bit overgrown, so we didn’t feel comfortable letting our two small dogs roam freely. On what we believe was the west side of the house, several windows (glass door, kitchen window, and bay window) had no curtains or blinds, which felt a bit exposed. Additionally, the living room curtains didn’t fully cover the windows, offering very little privacy on that side of the home. The back patio lacked a door or gate, so we couldn’t relax there with our dogs unless they were leashed. Fridge water and ice maker didn’t work—not a big deal since we usually bring our own. Host mentioned an osmosis system, but the ice still tasted off.Overall:The stay was decent and the bed was comfy!! However, we wouldn’t stay again without curtains and would advise others to ask the host if this has been taken care of.

Nice place

The inside of the house was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location is close to beautiful lakes, and close to the town. The owner made sure to check in with us to make sure we settled in well. They had a card, snacks, and some wine to greet us. There was a couple of downsides to our stay. The place was not fully checked before we arrived. The previous guests spilled something on a chair and the floor, and didnt clean it up ( I did). They left a window open and another one unlocked. They also left beer cans under the back porch. The place did get scary at night due to lack of curtains on the windows and the glass door. My kids were so scared that they slept upstairs instead of downstairs like originally planned. To make them and myself feel somewhat safe, I put chairs in front of the door, including the one that lead from the garage into the house. I did this because there was an opening on the side of the house that lead into the basement. It would be easy for someone to get into the house through it. As beautiful as the house was, we just didn't feel fully safe staying there since it was just me with my children. There was also some alarm or something that went off at 6 in the morning. I had no idea what it was or where it was coming from. iniwell. We well.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days in late May. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the home and how updated the decor was inside (the mattresses were really comfortable!). Both bathrooms were very roomy! The outside of the house could use some updating and maybe some kind of landscaping, as it’s a big property with a lot of potential. There is a nice outdoor firepit area with chairs, as well as a comfortable back porch and a small balcony off the master bedroom upstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and even had a hand mixer so I could make a cake! The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and the owners were very responsive and helpful when I contacted them with questions. We would definitely stay here again!
