Very nice, secluded location with absolutely gorgeous views. The living room was a perfect spot to unwind while looking out over the collegiate peaks. We even saw mule deer right off the deck one night!

Thank you for the kind review. We hope to see you again.
We had a great time staying here. It was perfect for our family stay that included 3 generations. Very clean when we arrived. Fantastic location nestled in the high mountains with several 14ers within view plus the lovely Twin Lakes. Grandsons loved fishing. Highly recommend this lovely A-frame cabin.
Great Views, Great Location! House has 3 levels to spread out, 3 bedrooms which worked well for us. Used house as staging ground to hike along the continental divide at Independence Pass. Cooked most of our meals at the house. Good proximity to Leadville for shopping and eating out.
It was a great house above Twin Lakes and down the road from the tiny village if Rwin Lakes. Also abiut an hour up the road is Aspen. The drive up to Aspen was breathtaking. I sent several questions to the owners over the weekend and they responded immediately.
I've stayed at the Lone Pine Lodge on three different occasions over the past few years. It is clean, spacious, and stocked with everything I needed. And most of all, it overlooks beautiful Twin Lakes with Mt. Elbert and Twin Peaks in the background. Several of Colorado's Fourteeners are nearby and I've climbed twelve of them!
My friends and I were coming to CO for the fantastic mountain biking and wanted to find a place out of town, and we found a gem! The house is perfect! The fully furnished kitchen made meals a snap. The house was spotless, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. The deck is great for morning coffee and enjoying the views. The location is a short ride to Twin Lakes and Leadville. This will be my new go-to spot for my future vacations.
Beautiful views, spacious house, and very clean. We really enjoyed our winter trip to Twin Lakes and this house was perfect for the 7 of us. Near Leadville with ice skating downtown and ski slopes with no lines at Ski Cooper.
Amazin location and beautiful place but deposit was withheld, claiming some small issues
The property is in a really good location in twin lakes and very well maintained, Paul was a good host but upon checkout , our deposit was withheld claiming there were some small stains and some porcelain chippings in the bathroom. We are unaware of these and we cleaned the place properly to make sure everything was how it is when we arrived. Maybe there were some small unintentional stains however , it felt bad to receive such feedback after having a nice stay and keeping the place clean and doing everything with so much care
And we had to pay a cleaning fee , damage protection , damage deposit

Beautiful location, rough start
The location and views were fantastic, the house was very clean and obviously well cared for. The check in process could have been smoother. We arrived significantly after the scheduled check in time and found that someone was inside the home. When I called the host to find out who was in the home he was a bit snippy with his response. It turned out to be the caretaker who was running late. That was all fine, but the defensiveness/snippy tone rubbed me the wrong way and was not a great start to the stay. I would also recommend bringing a space heater if you plan to use the basement/3rd room at all (if the host allows) as the basement level and bedroom never heated up.

I find it hard to understand in our current state of Covid that a guest would be upset about having to wait for the cleaning service to finish. I spoke with both my caretaker and my guest and found that the guest only needed to wait 8 minutes before she and her family were welcomed into the property. We do our best to make sure the property is clean and secure before our guests enter.
As far as the downstairs room, the vent regulators were closed. A simple push of the regulator lever would have given warm air flow to the room. Perhaps the renter should find another property with less confusing amenities and an owner who panders to complainers.
This rental was perfect for my group. We enjoyed the large kitchen and common area, as well as the amazing view of the mountains from the deck. Paul provided easy and clear instructions that made check in and check out a breeze.
House was very clean and fit most of our needs. The listing said would sleep 10 people. There was only 3 queen beds and a futon for a total of 8 sleeping spaces. Other than that everything was good. Great view!!!

Great place to get away and enjoy some down time and relaxation
If you want to experience a unique part of Colorado that is away from all of the crowds and commercialization found in the resort areas, then Twin Lakes is an answer for you. It's a little off the beaten path, and without the convenience of a coffee shop or restaurant on every corner. But you can easily take in the beauty of the surrounding mountains, the lakes, trails, etc. be careful in the winter.. the roads here are adequate, but rural and maintained as such. 4WD is probably a good idea if that is an option for you. This particular property is very enjoyable and has all of the amenities you will need to enjoy some quality time with family and friends. The views off the deck to the mountains are wonderful. The property was exactly as advertised on VRBO. we enjoyed our time here and would recommend the property.

Beautiful views, comfortable home!
We love the Twin Lakes area for its beautiful mountain and lake views. This home was nicely located for our Leadville 100 weekend. Even though we spent much of the day in Leadville - a town that we LOVE -- it was nice to "get away" to our mountain cabin at the end of the day. Three bedrooms on three different levels worked perfectly for our three couple/family groups. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, spices, etc. We cooked several meals there. The bathrooms were clean, and we had plenty of linens. The garage was a nice bonus as a place to store bikes and gear. We highly recommend this listing -- and can't wait to return to the Leadville area next year!
