About this property

Duplex on the island of Sunset Beach! Perfect for multifamily!

Welcome to Beach Access! *New in 2024 - We are renting our whole house to guests this year!* The perfect beach abode for the whole family, multiple families or extended families that need street level access. An easy walk to the public beach walkway (just 10 houses down) and located on the west side of the island, just 5 streets from Bird Island. Relaxed and charming, this duplex has a two bedroom studio downstairs with a large central living space, full kitchen, dining, full bath and powder room. Upstairs has a large open living area with dining, three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is a shared laundry room downstairs and an outdoor shower! Multiple porches provide space to spread out with a covered downstairs front porch, covered upstairs screen porch and then a large back deck! The downstairs deck has a place to hang wet towels and suits!

We have a local host and property manager who provides linens, towels and gets you started with paper supplies, soaps, shampoos and the like. Check in at 4pm is easy with electronic door codes on both floors. Come enjoy a few days or a week at our favorite place!!

Great location and perfect for a larger family! We enjoyed the front porch as well as the back deck and yard. Both living spaces, upstairs and downstairs, are well appointed very clean, and stocked for a week long stay. Christy was super accommodating and quick to communicate.

Homey & Comfortable Space for All

Four couples and two children. Great to have two equipped kitchens and a dining table big enough for all. Spacious top front porch with lots of cushioned seating was our go-to hang out. Loved the tasteful and uncluttered decor!Every question/concern text to host got a prompt, helpful reply. This rental was perfect for us.

Great location and perfect for multi-family

Fantastic spot. Great communication from the hosts. Had my older parents stay on lower level- was perfect as they struggle with stairs. My husband, kids, and I were super comfortable upstairs and we could all connect with beach trips.

Long Weekend Golf Trip - Excellent rental

A golf friend and I stayed in this property for a long weekend. The property was excellent in every way- very clean with new finishings and comfortable beds, very well appointed with kitchen items, bath/toiletries and beach items,and in a wonderful location a short walk to the beach in a quiet residential area. It is hard to find a pet friendly rental that is in such excellent condition and in a great location. This property is highly recommended for a couple or a small group or family.

Two of a kind

We really had a nice restful Christmas. A house within a house. Loved being with family but still apart from one another with the ease of two separate houses. Enjoyed every moment. The only downfall was parking.

Wonderful week at sunset!

We had the best stay at sunset beach this past week. This is our third time visiting the island and the best house we have stayed at yet. It was my family- 5 kids ages ranging from 8 months to 14 and my brother’s family- with kids ages 2-6. This house was well equipped with everything we needed! We could have literally packed our clothes and food and that’s it! Kitchen was very well stocked. Beach toys and towels were in great shape. They even had headlights charging for us to use on the beach in the evenings. We couldn’t locate the pack n play when we got there and I reached out to the hostess and she replied within minutes, helping us locate it. We will definitely plan on staying here again for our next visit.

Our family lives in Western North Carolina and has been visiting Sunset Beach since 2012. When we had an opportunity to own on the island, we took it! Thankfully, we have wonderful hosts on the island (Janet and Mark) who help us manage the day to day processes but I am usually behind the keyboard answering questions! We hope you enjoy Sunset as much as we do!!!

We love Bird Island and have been fortunate to see sea turtles hatch 3 times now! We love the quiet, serene beach and walking or biking all the way to SC during a sunset is the best!

What makes this property unique

Our house is a duplex and we are renting the whole property out for the 2024 season! The downstairs is perfect for anyone with mobility issues and ease of access with no stairs! The upstairs has a few more sleeping spaces and lots of room to spread out and enjoy!
