About this property

Hygge Lodge is a gorgeous lakefront gathering place for year round family fun.

This 1905 building has lived many lives and most recently has been remodeled into a family friendly gathering place. It is located on a beautiful stretch of lakefront property between New Auburn and Bruce, Wisconsin.

Enjoy swimming to sauna to s'mores around the fire.

Conveniently located 1 hour north of Eau Claire and 2 hours from Twin Cities/MSP airport.

Our family has enjoyed time at Fireside Lake since 1998. We are very excited to offer this newly renovated lodge for the gathering of your family and friends. We have beds for 18 (no bunk beds) and 4 bathrooms (4 showers and one tub).

The great room is designed for real life connection while you are doing a puzzle, playing a board game, learning to bake cookies with your grandparents or having a night around the fire.

Kayaks, life jackets, yard games and gas grill are included. Pontoon can be rented for additional fee. Fireside Lake is home to 3 loons and an eagle's nest with baby eagles most summers. Excellent year round fishing with boat landing across the lake.

This is a central location for fishing on many lakes, snowmobile trails, mountain biking and hiking the Ice Age Trail in New Auburn. Christie Mountain is 20 miles away for downhill skiing and also within 20 miles, Ladysmith has the miner movie theater.

There is an owner's suite attached. Private entrances and a privacy fence separate the outdoor spaces.

Fabulous property! Extremely well stocked from the bedrooms, to the kitchen, and outdoor space! Our group had a blast from being outside and using the paddle boards and canoe, to being around the kitchen island talking and eating! Would absolutely stay here again! Jodi was a great host!

Everything about this place was amazing! It was the perfect space for my entire family—17 of us, ranging from ages 12-83!)to connect and celebrate Christmas. Everything was beautifully decorated for Christmas, including a cute Christmas tree. Indoor space was open, but allowed everyone do different things (puzzle, games, coffee, read books) without feeling chaotic or loud. Outside, we enjoyed ice fishing, hockey/skating, and snowman building. The entire place was super clean, beds were comfy, and everything that we could possibly need was there. Hosts were friendly and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect lakeside location for a large group

We had an amazing stay at the Hygge Lodge! Very spacious communal areas for a large group, including young children. The kitchen is large and well-stocked and perfect for group meals. The location on the water is beautiful and the kayaks/paddleboards were used a ton. Absolutely recommend for a large group wanting to enjoy a relaxing lakeside vacation.

Hygge Lodge was a great place for our extended family to reconnect and have fun at the lake. The Lodge had everything we needed and more, including well equipped kitchen, laundry, dock for our rental boat, wonderful deck, fire pit, Lily Pad, and plenty of bedrooms and baths for our group of 10 adults and 3 kids! Hope to come back again sometime! Very responsive hosts too!

This place had everything we needed and was big enough for 15 people. We loved the amount of rooms and beds. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The dock as nice- we rented a pontoon and had a great time on the lake.

Family vacation

This property is great for a large family. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It also has a spacious kitchen with a couple tables, breakfast bar, and bar seating inside and 2 picnic tables and extra chairs outside. The canoe, kayaks, paddle boards, and foam Lilly pad, and fishing made for a very enjoyable stay!!

We had a great time at Hygee lodge. It was perfect for our large group of 17. The large living area fit us all with ease and was a great place to play games when the weather was not perfect. The lake is quiet but big enough for water sports and some really good fishing. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating if you need any help. Thank you for a great stay. The kids, parents, and grandparents were all very happy and grateful for a chance to stay at such a great place! Thank you again!

Family Group Stay

Our family group had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful property! The home was spacious, clean, and well-equipped to accommodate all of us comfortably. The lake was peaceful and perfect for relaxing, swimming, and making great memories together. The setting was absolutely gorgeous—pictures don’t do it justice!Our kiddos especially loved the complimentary use of the waterboards, kayaks, and canoe—it kept them entertained for hours. The host was also incredibly kind and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for any large group looking for a relaxing lakefront getaway!

Hang out at Hygge!

Great lodge with a lot of space to hang out for a large group. The beds were comfortable, Deck was awesome and it was great that the dock was large enough for two boats. Hosts are very accommodating messaging prior to our stay, upon check in and checkout.

Incredible cabin getaway!

This cabin was a beautiful place for us to stay! Everything was very clean and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed having a fire (inside and outside) and spent lots of time in the sauna! We hiked at the nearby Ice Age trail and ate at a great local restaurant. This is a great place for family and friend gatherings that we would recommend to anyone!!

Multi Family Weekend Stay

Hygge Lodge was spacious enough for us all! Amenities and layout are very thoughtful creating a welcoming stay. We enjoyed coffee while overlooking the lake, cards and games, relaxation in the sauna, and made good use of the fully equipped kitchen. A beautiful property with plenty of room for all!

7 high school buddies and our wives just stayed here for three days. Everything was perfect. Each couple had their own comfortable bedroom and there was no waiting for one of the four bathrooms. The dock worked out great for our boat. Plenty of room inside for our group when the skeeters chased us in. There is a very big deck, picnic tables, and lawn chairs too. The communication with the owners was extremely quick from booking through checkout. Book with confidence!

Hayden family vacation

We truly enjoyed our week of family fun at Hygge Lodge. The house was so comfortable and cozy! We loved the sauna, the fishing, the outdoor space for bean bags, and the entire setting. Comfortable and easy-going place for short business retreat

We were 7 business colleagues/friends, so having 7 bedrooms was essential. The group meeting space exceeded our expectations. The open plan was full of light and with a lake view for our large group discussions and meals. The layout of the shared spaces easily allowed of smaller groups to do different activities at the same time, e.g., cooking, games, conversation. The modern feel and amenities were spot on for our needs.
