It was our pleasure to host you and your family. It would be our pleasure to host you again on your next visit to Tucson.
My son and I enjoyed a four-day stay here when we visited the area to bird and visit some of the historical sites. The apartment was clean and comfortable and roomy, the entrance courtyard was a great place to hang out and enjoy a morning cup of coffee, and we appreciated being able to walk to local restaurants. Communication with the host was excellent and check-in/check-out was easy. Would definitely stay here again.
John's two-bedroom is very nice and located in the great historic Barrio Viejo. Very quiet neighborhood and an easy walk/short ride to coffee shops, cafes, downtown, and the University. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Thanks, John!

The area was close to everything we needed felt safe.We had no issue whatsoever from start to finish. We would definitely return again no doubt. We highly recommend it . Thank you John for being so kind and there for us for anything .
Came to Tucson for a memorial. The house is spacious and comfortable. It was a perfect location to get back and forth to the downtown event space and meet up with family at local restaurants etc. It is walkable to everything downtown and a 10 minute ride to stars pass for a hike. Hosts were available when needed.

About the host
Hosted by John Genell
Hi! I’m John, and along with my partner Dave, we love calling Tucson home. There’s something magical about this city—the light, the desert landscapes, the history, and the vibrant culture of neighborhoods like Barrio Viejo. In my free time, you’ll usually find me exploring local coffee shops and restaurants, cycling Tucson’s scenic bike routes, or soaking in the arts and culture scene downtown.
Hosting guests at Casa Bueno is one of our favorite things. We love sharing this historic adobe home and helping visitors experience Tucson like locals—whether it’s suggesting hidden gems, sharing the best spots for sunset views, or simply creating a comfortable, welcoming space for people to relax and recharge.
Why they chose this property
Dave and I Dave are proud to host Casa Bueno in historic Barrio Viejo. We love Tucson’s history, architecture, and laid-back lifestyle, and we’ve designed the home to reflect all three. We look forward to hosting you.
What makes this property unique
Casa Bueno is a rare blend of authentic historic adobe construction and walkable, downtown living in one of Tucson’s most treasured neighborhoods. Tucked into Barrio Viejo, the home offers a true sense of old Tucson—thick adobe walls, timeless character, and a calm, grounded feel you can’t replicate in modern builds.
What truly sets it apart is the indoor–outdoor lifestyle: a private courtyard for morning coffee, relaxed afternoons, and evenings under desert skies—all just steps from restaurants, culture, and iconic bike routes. It’s a place where history, comfort, and location come together seamlessly.
