For those in search of a marvel of log home engineering, this is your place! It was a beautiful log cabin with plenty of space, both inside and out, for our 3 adults and 4 kids. There was more deck space then I was expecting and the stairs were not an issue for our party. The view of Lake Michigan from the primary bedroom balcony was unbeatable! As some reviewers have noted, the landscaping, and some of the deck furniture, could use some maintenance. Some deck chairs are new, but we didn’t use the tables and chairs, or other furniture, on the patio over the garage as they were old and worn. With that being said, the home is secluded in the woods giving it a true up north feel, which was very peaceful. It was also stocked with tons of dishes, glassware, silverware, coffee mugs, etc. It happened to have coffee filters, Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, and a few other basics (salt and pepper), which was helpful to have handy as we did a lot of cooking at the house. One note on the TV for future renters: we were glad we brought our Roku as even though it’s a smart tv, it has a limited number of apps (and we wanted to watch various college football games!). Overall, I would highly recommend this rental and look forward to coming back again!
