Clean and well-equipped. This was our second time at King Meadow Manor for a working retreat. Our staff love the spacious and comfy bedrooms, gorgeous kitchen, and speedy WiFi necessary for our work. It is a great place to get things done while being able to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
Beautifully restored home with comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. Kitchen is beautiful and well stocked. This was a great place for our work retreat with spaces to gather, electrical outlets for our computers, and robust internet connectivity. Thanks for your hospitality!
We are locals (we live in Harrisonburg) and recently got married on private property in Weyers Cave. We rented KMM as a place to stay just 8 min from our venue, for us and our family / friends. We ended up using it as space to get ready for the wedding as well, because it is absolutely STUNNING, inside and out!
It is the perfect blend of old rustic farmhouse and all the comfort of modern amenities!!! You can tell how much this property means to the owners - so much love and history were poured into sharing this special and unique space with guests. There was so much attention to detail into upgrading the house - the kitchen is extremely spacious and easy for large groups to cook in and is well stocked with pots/pans/utensils/dishware. We loved the 6 burners and made use of the double ovens!!! The dining area and living room are comfortable places for large groups to hang out.
The four bedrooms are spacious and very comfy!! The downstairs bedroom almost feels like a second master bedroom with a huge bathroom. The upstairs master bedroom is INCREDIBLE and we loved staying in it for the whole week or our wedding - we felt spoiled. We took a bath in the tub every single night.
Aside from the lack of curtains in the bedrooms which made it hard for some to sleep, we wanted for absolutely nothing!! This place is GORGEOUS, well stocked, and everyone raved about staying here. We've even talked about renting it again on a special anniversary years down the road. Highly recommended.
We rented the house for our daughter‘s graduation from JMU. The pictures online do not do it justice.! The restoration of the farmhouse is beautiful and the views from the porch are so peaceful. Very close to JMU but far enough a way to feel like you were on vacation! Would love to return just to enjoy a long weekend.
Loved our stay! It was absolutely perfect for JMU graduation weekend. The house is gorgeous and our entire family loved it. We had plenty of room for everyone (we even had grandparents from FL staying with us)
Perfect for large gatherings or a romantic getaway
This house is the perfect marriage of original architecture and modern amenities, specifically top notch modern amenities. No detail has been overlooked and no comfort spared during this loving renovation. The owners have masterfully harmonized the home’s historic features with a chef's kitchen, luxurious beds and bathrooms, and high end appliances. The kitchen is by all rights fully stocked with everything necessary to prepare and serve exotic meals and we took full advantage. The entire house is fitted with such lovely details that it elevates the experience from comfortable to magical. All of the rooms have dimmer lights, the sheets and towels are exceptional quality, the showers include a variety of nice bath products, and there were fall seasonal decorations and fresh flowers. We felt cozy and warm watching sunrises and sunsets and enjoying the house throughout the day. Just a mile and a half up the road is Pike Valley Farm Market where you will find a curated collection of local ciders and beers, a gourmet market and sandwich shop, and a lovely coffee shop with homemade baked goods and local ice cream. Within a 15 minute drive you can find several wineries, Weyer’s Cave, and Shenandoah National Park. If you are looking for a fun romantic getaway, a place to host a large family gathering, or somewhere to get away to with the kids, this is the place.
