The Woodward is a beautifully and stylishly restored home in the heart of Staunton, Virginia. The house is located just a couple minute walk to Mary Baldwin campus and an 8 minute walk to the downtown shops, restaurants, museums on East Beverley St.

This is a 2-story house with living space, dining space, kitchen and full bath on the first floor and all 3 bedrooms and full bath on the second floor.

FIRST FLOOR:

LIVING ROOM - 2 couches, 2 arm chairs, ottoman, smart TV (please login to your own streaming accounts), coffee table, vintage board games

OFFICE - single desk and a pull-out sleeper sofa

BATHROOM 1 - single vanity, toilet, walk-in shower

DINING ROOM - formal dining space for 7

KITCHEN - fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances (fridge, electric oven and range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster), Keurig coffee maker and drip coffee pot

DECK - located right off the kitchen, the deck has an outdoor dining set for 6


SECOND FLOOR:

BEDROOM 1 - Queen bed, dresser, luggage rack, and closet with hangers

BEDROOM 2 - California King, two nightstands with lamps, dresser, arm chair, luggage rack, and closet with hangers

BEDROOM 3 - Queen Bed, two nightstands with lamps, dresser, velvet loveseat, luggage rack, and closet with hangers

BATHROOM 2 - shared hall bath with single vanity, toilet and shower/tub combo

NO pets, violations subject to fines.

NOTE: guests do NOT have access to a washer or dryer in this house.There is a security camera mounted on the garage and facing into the alleyway.

Beautifully Decorated House in Great Location

The house was comfortable, wonderfully decorated, and had a great kitchen/space for family meals. It’s a convenient walk to the theatre and rest of central Staunton and we had a great stay!

Comfortable and well located

The property was recently renovated and was clean and well maintained. It is in walking distance of the Woodrow Wilson House, Shakespeare theater, and downtown. The host was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Also, we appreciated not having a long list of housekeeping chores when checking out; just start the dishwasher and take out the trash

Characterful historic house in a handy location for all that Staunton has to offer. Lots of space, and generally helpful information. Only improvement I'd make is to provide instructions on how to work the coffee maker. Highly recommended.

The Woodward is a beautiful - and wonderfully appointed - home in a fantastic location.

My family genuinely can't say enough good things about our stay in the home! In addition to the beautiful and well-thought-out décor, it is absolutely the best-stocked rental home we've ever stayed in. Everything you might need has been thought of - plenty of outlets to plug things into, white noise machines, lamps, hooks to hang your towels on, an adorable coffee and tea station, plenty of kitchenware, super-comfortable beds... it's all there! And the location can't be beat. We LOVED it.

Lovely, comfortable home, a short walk to the center of downtown

This house was perfect for our family of 5. We were all impressed with the beautifully done restoration and the many thoughtful details. The beds were extremely comfortable. We appreciated the abundance of plugs for our devices. Our dinner reservation was a short walk away, but the neighborhood around the house was quiet and peaceful. Communication from our host was excellent. We only stayed one night but will definitely book this home again for a longer stay.

The Woodward provided a welcome respite from our very busy lives this Labor Day Weekend. The property was very nice and was very comfortable for our family of two adults, a college-age student and a high schooler with plenty of space for everyone. Great location close to downtown Staunton restaurants and farmer's market. Highly recommend!
