About this property

Large house on 3 Beachfront Acres, wildlife and birds galore, Playa Carbonera

This spacious house is perfect for groups or families. Whether you want to simply relax and immerse yourself in nature or fill your days with adventure, Casa Sol, a mere 100 meters to our beach, has everything you need. After waking to the Howler Monkeys, you can take a day trip to Corconvada National Park, surf the waves at Playa Pan Dulce, visit a chocolate farm, hook a trophy fish, zip-line through the rainforest canopy, or simply read a book in the hammock.

Casa Sol is located in Playa Carbonera on the Osa Peninsula, one of the most biodiverse places remaining on our planet. Our 3-acre beachfront property is visited by all 4 species of monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, anteaters, coati, Baird’s tapirs, and much more wildlife. Our landscaped gardens contain many fruit trees, and we are committed to planting native species which the local wildlife depend on for food.

Casa Sol is the largest house on our property. It is perfect for families or groups with 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 8, a large kitchen, dining table, living room, outdoor patio and private yard. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator/freezer, 6 burner gas stove and is fully stocked with pots and pans and everything you or your private chef need to feed a group.

There are two large bedrooms with double beds and a screened "bunk type" room with two single beds. Two additional beds can be added upon request, for an additional fee of $20 per night per guest.

With its high ceilings, ample windows for cross breezes, and concrete walls, Casa Sol is built to maximize passive cooling, a relief in the tropical heat.

Our property is completely off grid and the solar and water systems are new as of summer, 2023.

You can walk down the landscaped driveway to our beach, a mere 100 meters or visit Playa Pan Dulce, a favorite sandy swimming and surfing beach which is a 15 minute walk down the beach or 5 minute drive.

A lovely dipping pool provides relief from the tropical heat. All guests are invited to use it with the understanding that it is for all guests on the property.

Casa Sol is within walking distance to the local bar/restaurant and within a 10 minute drive to several other restaurants.

Guests are free to roam the property and a recent guest told us: "We were really impressed with the amount of nature we got to experience on the property alone, both plants and animals."

Casa Sol is one of 4 cabañas on our property, Nature and Grace. Our property manager, Shiloh, lives on property and is available for any questions or resources you need.

Our hope is that you will "Allow grace to seep into your life as nature surrounds you" here on the property of Naturaleza Y Gracia.

Tricia and Richard visited family on the OSA and were immediately drawn to the beauty and nature of the place. We are passionate about doing our small part to preserve the rainforest and are consulting with local conservationists to plant native species which will contribute to the preservation of the local wildlife.
