About the host
Hosted by Scott Taylor
We are the primary caretakers of this family owned home and have realized our goal to live at Green Lake. We have retired from teaching and providing computer services. With help from our son and daughter-in-law we are privileged to maintain this property. It is a hands-on project, and satisfaction comes from comments from our renters - 'comfortable and clean'. Although we don't live in the cottage, we are close enough to help if needed but not to interfere.
Why they chose this property
This is a home that has been in our family since the early 1900s. The original vacation home on this land was the historic 'Windmill Cottage' - a cottage with a working windmill atop a three story structure. That building has been replaced by our four bedroom home 'Hidden Treasure.' It has been a summer place for our family since the 1950s. It has provided many fond memories for us and we hope that your time spent here be the highlight of your summer experiences.
What makes this property unique
We love being near the water and the scenic beauty of the lake, but we also enjoy the rich variety of wildlife which come to our yard - song birds, water fowl, wild turkeys, and deer.
Early mornings are special times when we enjoy a steaming cup of coffee on the pier and watch the mist rise off the still waters of Green Lake.
