We loved staying at the School House. It was very comfortable, nicely furnished with fun memorabilia, and it is in a great location. The manager was very helpful. We would love to stay here again.
We enjoyed staying at this comfortable, beautifully decorated home. It was super pet friendly, which we really appreciated. Just an FYI, even though La Veta is a small town this house is on main street, so any cars that were driving through were heard during the day, at night things were quiet.
It was a super space and a great location! I loved that they kept the school theme in the decor!!! The BEST was the playground that served as a private dog park!
We loved our stay at this amazing place. Not only is it in the cutest little town the location is great. The house was decorated so well and the pictures are true to how it is. Very clean and well stocked! Perfect place to bring your kiddos. Owner was very accessible and answered all our questions promptly! Fun outdoor space with fire pit and pergola! We will be back and can’t wait to bring our grandchildren! Five plus for this property!
Really nicely renovated and very comfortable. It will be hard to run out of room with all this space. We especially liked the sitting area around the coffee station outside the kitchen. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Very nice appliances and a large table plus a breakfast bar made it easy. Plus you have an outdoor covered table in the fenced in yard. Lots, and lots of parking and you're right off the main road in town making it easy to shop or get to most anything.
Pick up "Spanish Peaks Region recreation & trail guide to see everything available. Here are a few of our favorites
LaVeta - great shopping on the main street. Pickup Hwy 12 right in town to "Highway of Legends National Scenic Byway". So many deer in town, like lawn ornaments.
Walsenburg - check out Chipita jewelry. It's the artist store and we found her pieces sold throughout Colorado. Eat at George's Drive Inn for a great burger.
