About this property
Perfect Location in Capitol Hill
Newly renovated apartment in heart of Capitol Hill, one of DC's most popular neighborhoods. Walk to most all DC's tourist and business destinations. Close to several Metro stations and Union Station. We are adjacent to Lincoln park, one of DC's largest.
The space
We recently renovated our English basement apartment so we could do more home exchanges. Occasionally we list it on AirBnB. We designed and furnished it so our guests, as well as ourselves, would feel comfortable. The apt has 2 glass security doors leading to the front and back exteriors as well as 2 windows. Keyless entry. We added additional soundproofing to the walls and ceiling. Queen size Sleep Number bed with dual controls.

Guests have full use of a 1 bedroom apartment with kitchen, dining and living room spaces. There is also a separate desk for work use. Shared laundry room adjacent to the apartment. Street parking is available.

About the host
Your host
We are new to VRBO, we have hosted over 50 times through Home Exchange. Without exception all have been 5 stars. We can't travel that much anymore so we decided to use VRBO.
Why they chose this property
Our Capitol Hill home is a block away from Lincoln Park, our community's gathering place. Eastern Market's restaurants and stores are close by and the US Capitol is at the end of our street. There are several great restaurants within a half a mile.
What makes this property unique
We have a classic DC rowhouse. The difference is our English basement has recently had a total renovation down to the studs. We designed it specifically for short term rentals to include private entrances, comfortable sleep number queen bed and a sofa designed for comfort and its ability to serve as an extra bed. All new appliances.
