The rooms were clean! It fit our group; the beds were comfortable - no complaints there! The kitchen could use some essentials like silverware - or just bring some plastic ones. There were some air vents in random spots - watch out! The front door on both units were tough to open at times. From the outside, the first impression was deceiving - the neighborhood was more industrial than we realized but it was overall a good stay.

Fort Worth

We enjoyed our stay. Six bedrooms, 2 kitchens, and 4 bathrooms for the price are hard to find. The host was available. The home was clean. Beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked great -- much needed the weekend we were there. It served our needs - 8 adults and 4 kids. It was fun to be together. We would go back. And, the Crude Craft Coffee Shop is nearby and very good!! Tom F

Not fit for occupancy!

This property is in an unsafe, low class neighborhood, but more than that is unfit for occupancy. There was a hole in the ceiling, the stairs are so crooked you will trip, the floors actually sink when you walk on them, not every room has adequate light, the beds are like boards, not all outlets work. Making this worse, the listing was misrepresented at the time I booked. They said nothing about it being in an unsafe neighborhood, they said nothing about it being very rundown, they said nothing about it being two completely separate units. I had booked it for bridesmaids in a wedding party weekend and I DID NOT allow them to stay here. We had to find alternate accomodations at the last minute which was extremely stressful. When I contacted the owner they did nothing to make the situation better...I lost the full booking amount over $1800. You couldn't pay me to stay at this complete wreck of a house. VRBO needs to do a better job of vetting the properties on its site.

Fine, not great

Looks like the price on this property has dropped since we booked and for the *current* price the property is probably a good deal due to space. For the price we booked I believe the experience fell short.Location: Proximity to other things is good. Immediate neighborhood not a good run and play situation for the kiddos.Property condition: Photos here are making good use of angles and filters. The condition of the house is pretty poor, lots of painting-over in place of a remodel, rickety stairs, etc. Very evident from the moment you pull up to the property that the photos are a bit creative.Cleanliness also left something to be desired; it seems like they sweep but don’t mop based on the state of our socks and a couple of times when we needed to clean up a spill in the kitchen and paper towels came up filthy. Back rooms both upstairs and downstairs smell like weed, which is probably just due to a previous guest or proximity to a neighbor but not ideal.Parking is a good setup for large group with a parking area in back. Communication was sparse but adequate, got check in instructions via auto email and there were no check out instructions so no onerous cleaning asks which I appreciate.Fridge water doesn’t work, lots of plates but no bowls, stairs to upper level and down to weird basement bathroom are a bit precarious, situations like that where it seems like the property could use TLC.

Sorry, but it's true.

Host was great. Allowed us to check in a bit early since the place was not booked the night before. Also some other exceptions made for us, & we appreciate it. The property was very very clean. At the time of this post, there is one other review showing, so I could be the second guest. It was clean, smelled nice & the pictures are of the actual property. With that being said; the photographer is making these folks a lot of money. Zoomed in at certain angles, the pictures are accurate. The google maps photo is a much more realistic capture of this property. We literally sat in the road for 2 minutes before even pulling into the driveway. Finally, we decided to atleast take a look inside before we gave up on it. We had to have the space and it was clean, so we stayed. Was it worth more than 3 hotel rooms? Absolutely not, but I didn't have the time to try and find something else on short notice. My last arriving 4 guests refused to stay and made other arrangements. The pictures look like it is a newly remodeled and renovated old house. It is in fact an old house that has been painted over and covered up to look good in pictures. The holes and weak spots in the floors were not repaired, they were covered with new vinal planks. Every person that walked into the kitchen took a deep gasp when the floor moved. The entire house is the same way. Open a bathroom door & go down 3 stairs. Open another bathroom door & take a full step up to get in. No hot tub as listed

Not Ready Yet

The check-in process was simple. The set up of the home is good for two families as the upstairs and the downstairs are completely separate. There is no access to the upstairs from inside the downstairs. The unit has potential but think the out of state property owner relied on someone local who should be fired. When we pulled into the driveway, we noticed that the exterior of the home was adhered over the old siding, and some of the clap board shingles had fallen off. When we went inside, we noticed that the floor gave in several places, making the new laminate flooring cracked and broken in spots. It appears as if it were installed over a subfloor that needed to be replaced. When we went into the kitchen, we noticed that the refrigerator was on a wall that had no electrical outlet. The cord was stretched across the kitchen to the other side. In the bedrooms, the light fixtures by the beds were a) outdoor fixtures, b) many did not have any place to plug them in, and c) some were missing lightbulbs. One of the bathrooms is down about 4 stairs in what looks like a basement. One of the walls bowed out, and there were cracks in other walls. The stairs to go upstairs are missing some of the wood. Upstairs, there was no hot water connected to the kitchen sink. The faucet for the kitchen sink was just set on the sink, not attached. There were similar issues as downstairs. There is a door leading outside in one of the bedrooms downstairs. With a lot of work, this unit will beok
