Quiet Catskills Lake House - 90min from NYC!

Welcome to our Lake House! Located on a beautiful serene lake in the Catskills Mountains, our home features 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and plenty of space to host all of your family and friends. **Now with brand new 7-seat hot tub**

The house is located on a non-motorized 43 acre lake that can only be accessed by other homes on the lake. Enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, or ice fishing in the winter months. Our backyard includes 1 acre of grass, a gas grill (large 5ft long charcoal grill also available - please ask in advance), 4 outdoor dining tables with seating for 20 people, brand new 7-seat hot tub (seasonal), an outdoor bar, fire pit, lounge chairs, corn hole and other games.

The indoor amenities include an indoor wood-burning fireplace, pool table, ping pong table, arcade basketball, board games, reading nook, work station, fully stocked kitchen, fully equipped gym, and 2 jetted tubs.

Awesome week!

We had an awesome week at Jessica’s house. Really great setup for our family— plenty of beds and bathrooms, and great hangout spots upstairs and downstairs. Jessica was very responsive and helpful during our stay.

2024 summer getaway

Large home with lots of indoor and outdoor space. Enjoyed the decks, paddle boards / kayak and downstairs game room. The lake was beautiful, clean & swimmable with easy access. Some of the bedrooms are captive & bit awkward. The beds were comfortable. But, I was disappointed there were no bed top sheets & all the beds had winter weight comforters.

Our Stay at the LakeHouse

My husband and I stayed at the house with our adult kids and their partners. Eight adults in all. Weather was not the best:(. The house fit all of us comfortably and the indoor game room came in great for a family Olympics during a rainy weekend!! The house was very clean and Jessica was extremely accommodating and responsive to our questions. We loved the main area on the first floor and the large table was perfect for our family!! We were very disappointed that the dock was not in the water for the weekend:(. Our only feedback would be to cut back the bushes and trees by the lake to allow for a better view.

Perfect Stay

I booked this property for myself and a group of friends for a long weekend (all in our mid 20's). It was a perfect property for us. With a mixed group of couples and singles, it comfortably slept 12. The house itself is beautiful, the living room, dining room, and kitchen are all connected in an open floor that was perfect for all of us to spend nearly the whole weekend just there together. The lower floor was also great to hang in with a pool table and karaoke. The outdoor space was great with two decks and a large lakefront yard. On top of the house being incredible itself, the location is great. Its very close to Monticello and there is plenty to do in the area if you want. I also do have to add that Jessica is an excellent host. She was so gracious and helpful throughout the whole process. She really wanted to make sure we had a great stay.

Excellent family friendly property

We had an excellent extended weekend in Rock Hill! Jessica was a fantastic host and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and was responsive to any quick questions. She was so kind and helpful.We had a blast at the nearby Holiday mountain for some skiing with the kids. It was a great location for our closest friends/kids to do a mountain getaway trip. Also, the house had everything to keep all of us entertained and was very spacious. The downstairs area was great for our kids to play and watch movies together. Everyone was able to sleep comfortably. Also— a big bonus to be able to have large group of us to be able to sit together during meal time.The property itself is stunning with its beautiful views and lakefront access. All the amenities are fantastic. I am sure it’s amazing in the summer months, too. We would definitely return for another trip. I highly recommend this house for families/friends looking for a place to stay. We had such a memorable weekend.

Large Lakeside Home

There are a lot of positive things about this large lakeside house: the views of the lake from the house; the upstairs and downstairs decks, the spaciousness of the upstairs space. Everyone in our family - from kids to adults - enjoyed the paddle boards, kayaks and rowboat. The lake is small and quiet. The water is not clear, it has a lot of sediment in it. You can still swim in it, though. The kids caught a number of large bass, some of them right from the shore. We all enjoyed the ping pong/pool table and many of us used the very well equipped work out room. The kids also loved the basketball game and the karaoke machine. The downstairs sleeping rooms were quite hot, and the beds had warm comforters. One of the upstairs bedrooms w/ a queen or double bed was only accessible by going through another bedroom. It was easy to get to grocery stores and a fun water park. I appreciated how responsive Jessica was, getting back to me quickly each time I contacted her.

Originally from California, we moved to New York City about 6 years ago. We have always enjoyed camping, hiking, paddle boarding, and swimming in upstate New York, which is why we bought this home just a couple of years ago. An added bonus is that it's just 90 minutes drive from NYC. This is our home away from home. We have hosted many family members and friends in our home, and love to see people enjoy our home and the lake.

Why they chose this property

Our home is located on the west side of the Catskills. While the lake is definitely the best part about the house, we also have a fantastic view of the mountains. It's especially beautiful during fall, when all the leaves have changed colors. Although our neighborhood is quiet, it's also very close to several restaurants/bars if you don't feel like cooking and just 10 minutes from Monticello (which has Walmart, more restaurants/bars, Resorts World casino, Kartrite water park, etc).

What makes this property unique

I believe two things set our home apart from other properties. 1. We have plenty of space to host all your family and friends, with plenty of board games, books, pool table, etc to keep everyone entertained all year round. 2. Our home is on and has direct access to the lake from our dock. Motorized boats cannot get on to the lake, and only the houses on the lake have access (~15-20 houses total). This means that many people are not on the lake and the lake is usually very quiet and peaceful.
