Oceanfront Condo - See Whales in Season Right From the Balcony!

Welcome to Papakea! Located between the Kaanapali and Kapalua world-class golf resorts, and just minutes from beaches, shops, and restaurants, Papakea is a 13-acre oceanfront resort that embodies the true aloha spirit of Maui.

There are two private pools, two Jacuzzis, direct beachfront access, a cabana, three lighted tennis courts, two shuffleboard courts, two 18-hole putting greens, Koi ponds, lush gardens, and 12 outdoor barbecues. The resort also has an Activity Desk. For the sports enthusiast, the golf courses of Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby, and so are beaches great for snorkeling and boogie-boarding. Alternatively, take your time walking the miles of soft sandy beaches.

Our condo is fully remodeled and re-furnished with granite counters.

Our second-floor, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo is directly oceanfront with a private lanai in the sought-after 'L' Building. Nothing but blue sky and ocean! One of the rare 2-bedroom/2-bathroom units where the Master Bedroom faces the ocean. The unit is air-conditioned and also has ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. We offer free wireless Internet access. Sip a cocktail on the lanai and enjoy the beautiful views of the neighboring islands of Lanai and Molokai. Parking is conveniently located near the building, and both the elevator and stairs are nearby.

The living area features ample seating, as well as satellite TV, a VCR/DVD player, and a stereo with a CD player. There is a table with seating for four on the private lanai. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. The unit also has its own washer and dryer.

As renters ourselves for years, we have drawn on our experiences to think of everything possible to make your stay comfortable. The oceanfront master bedroom features a king-size bed and ample dresser and closet space. It offers a full ocean view, and the bathroom features a shower/tub combination and a separate vanity area.

The second bedroom also features a king-sized bed and ample closet space. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a separate vanity area.

There is a queen-sized pull-out sofa in the living room for extra guests. All linens, including beach towels, are provided. We also have beach chairs and an ice chest that can be taken to neighboring sandy beaches. Papakea has a sea wall and a grassy lounging area overlooking the ocean. There are many sandy beaches within walking and short driving distances.

The State of Hawaii requires us to post our Department of Taxation Registration number, which is W50156142-01. Our on-island contact is Maui Rentals and Realty, LLC, located at 1087 Limahana Pl., Lahaina. Please do not contact them for booking.

The condo was spectacular. Nice kitchen nice furnishings - but what stood out was the views off the balcony into the channel. All days long whale spouts, whales leaping- magic ! Any rain lasted only a short while followed by rainbows. About as perfect a spot as we have ever rented!

Papakea offers a nice family atmosphere, daily activities, and close to shopping and restaurants. Our unit was clean, spacious, well appointed. We found the resort difficult to find and our GPS kept taking us a block past the entrance making it a challenge to locate in the dark, late in the evening. The condo has a beautiful view facing the ocean and we were able to sit on the deck watching whales every single day! That was amazing. The beds were comfortable and the washer and dryer very handy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Restaurants and amenities within easy walking distance and the award winning cinnamon roll place just right at the resort entrance. Amazon will deliver to the front office where you can pick up any package which is handy as well. The air conditioning was broken but when I called the property manager immediately contacted the owner and it was repaired while we were there. I found the management company to be very responsive to any request or concern. I would be very happy to stay here again in the future. Lovely place!

This is our 3rd time staying here and we love it. The ocean view is awesome and we saw whales every day. Great location (walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants). The grounds at the Papakea Resort (where the condo is located) are very well kept.

Why they chose this property

We have traveled the world, including every continent except Antarctica, and our favorite place in the whole world is the ocean-front at Papakea. So we bought a condo there.

What makes this property unique

We love getting up in the morning, making a cup of coffee, and sitting on our Lanai. We just read or gaze out over the blue waters and the full views of Molokai and Lanai and enjoy the ocean breeze and the sounds of the surf some 60 feet from us. We come every February, so the whales are here. They put on a show for us every day while we drink our coffee. The place has everything we need, pools, and tennis. We like making our own breakfast and lunch, and then we go out to dinner every night. There are tons of great restaurants just a short drive from the place. Nobody comes to bother you unless you ask them to.
