Very charming older house. Wide plank floors, wavy old glass in the windows and all the charms of an old house. That said, if creaky floors, doors that stick or a little bit of settling slants to floors would bug you, opt for more modern accommodations. But, on top of the bonus of staying in an 1853 house, good location, easy walks to Mystic downtown and the seaport museum, great shower in the main floor bath and claw foot tub upstairs, nicely appointed kitchen and a firepit (gas, so no scrounging for wood). Overall a great place for a weekend family get together!
