Right on the lake. Walk right into the water. Big inviting deck attached to living room is where you'll be the whole time. Communication with host was clear and honest. Hope to stay there again if the chance presents itself.

The house is very beautiful and interesting with all it's Knick knacks. It was very roomy, especially loved staying in the lower level with the King Bed. Full kitchen and grill where we made 3 great dinners. We spent the majority of our time on the lake. We spent a lot of time paddle boarding and tubing on the lake which was very clean and easy to access. We also caught from the dock / beach area 7 bass and whole bunch of blue gills and perch.We had a great time and would definitely rent this house again.

My family spent a wonderful week here, celebrating my 75th birthday. The house and grounds have lots of space to gather together or to have alone time. The beach was perfect for my grandkids to swim and play. They also loved taking their baths in the jacuzzi tub! Beautiful sunsets, and the fire pit was used every night for a campfire and roasting marshmallows. The DVD player was a plus, for watching family movies on the one rainy day we had. The host was very responsive. All in all, we give it 5 stars!! We would definitely rent here again.

Perfect Long Weekend Getaway

Perfect place to spend the weekend with friends and our teenage boys. They enjoyed canoeing and fishing from the dock. The house made you feel at home the entire visit.

Fun by the lake

Beautiful house by a lake with swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding ( we brought) at a private dock. House has a kitchen with every thing we needed. Ate in and had fun by the lake for a wonderful vacation.

Great Lake House

The house is amazing. Perfect location on the lake. Caroline was very helpful and communication was great. The house itself is very clean and well taken care of. Definitely one of the most well taken care of Vrbo's I've stayed in. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Vacation

Enjoyed a wonderful week with the family at this great Highland Lake property. I stayed with my husband, two adult sons, and daughter-in-law. The home is wonderful, the location is beautiful and quiet, the waterfront yard was perfect. Everyone enjoyed themselves all week. We plan on returning.

We had a wonderful stay in Caroline's home. She was very informative and helpful in all things. We even forgot something there and she shipped it back to us. The home itself is extremely clean and beautifully curated. We spent a lot of time in the backyard, by the firepit and on the dock. We swam and enjoyed the sun there from morning to dusk. The kitchen has everything you might need along with the rest of the house. It has a homey, cozy feeling and definitely provides the atmosphere for a relaxing, serene home away from home.

Relaxing getaway

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. The house is immaculate, comfortable and provided for all of our needs. It has so many comfortable seating areas to enjoy. The beds were comfortable. We were fortunate that the weather was beautiful and spent a good deal of time sitting in the sun at the dock, enjoying a million dollar view. Caroline was lovely and quick to respond to any questions or small issues. We would highly recommend.

Highland Lake VRBO Review

Beautiful lakefront house on Highland Lake, NY. The lake front access is ideal for swimming, boating, and lounging. The lake does get noisy during the day as a result of the motorboats and jet skis passing by at top speed. The house is adequately supplied and is in "move-in condition"! Communication with Caroline is simple and she responds quickly to answer questions and provide assistance. The VRBO is a perfect home away from home. Thank you for the opportunity to use your home for a few days!

Most of the time the lake is reasonably quiet but on some days during the peak month of August there can be substantial boating activity. Wonderful week

We stayed in this house in early September. It was a wonderful week! Communication with Caroline and all the instructions were easy. The house is very tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable for a family. Big kitchen has everything we needed. It is a large property right on the lake with it's own beach and very romantic doc. Big trees , lots of shade. Nice neighborhood, good weather, beautiful house, warm lake - we enjoyed it all! Truly nothing negative to say. I only wish that we'll come back again.

Beautiful home on the lake and a wonderful host.

Friends retreat with three couples and a three month old. The deck on the lake was perfect for having tranquil mornings drinking coffee, and hanging out all day. Fire pit was great for evening socializing and looking up at the stars. There is no seating around fire pit so bring camping chairs. Easy access to swim or just sit on the pier with your feet in. Lake is clean, warm and sandy with no rocks or shells to walk on. Paddle boat is great for kids. Beautiful, , charming house with everything you might need. Caroline was extremely helpful and a pleasure to rent from. She went out of her way to accomadate our needs. Highly recommend. Thank you Caroline!
