Nice vacation unit that provided easy access to the beach!

Overall the property was great, but there were a couple items we wanted to call to your attention: 1) The lock box was extremely difficult to figure out and, in fact, we were unable to lock it back up upon our departure. Last year we stayed in a unit that had a keyless entry. That was great because we didn't have to think about keys when we went to the beach. 2) The living room furniture was dated and somewhat worn. For older people, the couch and chairs did not provide good support when sitting. 3) Everything else was great and we would possibly consider rebooking this unit again.

We are sorry to hear that you were not overly pleased with the villa. Though much of this seems to be personal preference - I have passed your comments to our team to investigate and address as needed. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and time no the island otherwise!

Kiawah wedding trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our time in 5101 Windswept. Two comments. Felt like a box of tissue should have been provided in each bathroom. None supplied in condo. Linens would be described as poor. Only one pillow per person. No extras. Most of us sleep with more at home. Only top sheet and very thin bed spread/blanket on bed. No extras. Wished I had brought my own linens from home. I would not rent this condo again due to that. I would recommend it to a friend with that caveat.

We are sorry to hear of any issues experienced with the linens. Regrettably it does not appear that we were advised during your stay in order for it to be address and your stay more comfortable. This certainly seems to have been an oversite by our housekeeping partners and we will ensure they are aware to avoid any future occurrences. We hope that you were able to ensure your time on the island despite these circumstances!

Great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is wonderful with a beautiful view and close proximity to the beach boardwalk. Unfortunately the unit really needs upkeep. The toilets do not flush well. The bathrooms in general need maintenance work including cracked and peeling walls and paint. The kitchen was not well supplied with utensils and cooking tools/ needs. The kitchen drawers and cabinets were dirty inside and out. The washing machine smells. I called to have the shower curtain replaced which was moldy. We enjoyed our stay nevertheless but were disappointed in the condition of the condo especially given the cost. We expected better upkeep of the rental unit.

Nice location lacked cleanliness

Stayed here for a week with my family. Unfortunately the unit lacked cleanliness and appeared to hastily serviced, if at all between rentals. Property manager was timely in the multiple responses however overall questions about cleanliness loomed rather than dealing with the one off complaints. Unit could use a deep clean.

Great spot close to the beach and all activities!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy with this lovely Windswept condo. It was perfectly located close to the beach, Night Heron Park, the Sanctuary Hotel and the tennis courts. The condo comfortably slept our group of seven, and my husband and I enjoyed the privacy of the master bedroom within the condo. The multiple balconies overlooking the natural landscape, beach and ocean were a delightful bonus. Most days, some of us enjoyed breakfast and/or lunch out on the balcony off the living room. the amenities within the condo were great, and the $250 credit toward bike and chair/umbrella rentals was fantastic. Thanks for everything!

Great property in the center of it all!

We were very happy with this windswept villa! We loved the easy access to beach, Sanctuary, tennis courts and Night Heron Park. And even though it was a busy July 4th week and there was a lot going on, the condo provided a lovely respite from all the activity outside. It was fun to sit on the porch for breakfast and watch the beach goers come and go. The kitchen, though small, was perfectly appointed for the occasions that we wanted to dine in. Our four grown(ish) children and two friends stayed with us, and the place still felt comfortable and spacious- a great layout! Thanks for everything!

A perfect ocean visit

The condo was very clean and we appreciated that lights were on and jazz was playing when we arrived. Check-in was effortless, especially as our car passes were emailed to us ahead of time. The location is excellent. From the first floor, the ocean views are beautiful, with the dune foliage view meeting the sea without any visual obstacles. The first floor corner condo was also so convenient to the boardwalk and we used the stairs most of the time. We found that we needed a larger frying pan and an iron and management was there within hours of our request. The layout of the condo was also good and we enjoyed all three balconies. We would definitely request this condo again.

A Perfect Beach Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this first-floor condo is ideal with easy beach and boardwalk accessibility via a close-by stairwell. The views are pristine, with the heavily foliated dunes offering an unobstructed view to the ocean beyond. We appreciated the cleanliness of the unit and that lights were on and jazz was playing before our arrival. We had two requests (a larger frying pan and an iron) that were fulfilled within hours. The layout of the condo is excellent and we enjoyed all three balconies. We would definitely rent this unit again. Akers Ellis was very easy to deal with and we appreciated being able to print out our island car pass in advance of our arrival.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: About two weeks before our arrival we were notified that the villa we had rented would not be available. Not to worry - the AE Team went to work and pulled the rabbit out of the hat. They found a similar property, in close proximity to our original choice, with the result that we had a very enjoyable stay. Our 25th year to Kiawah, and we will be back next year. Kudos to AE for a job, again, well done!

The sound of the ocean and easy access is a huge plus. We were very comfortable and would go back again. The unit was clean, although the carpet had some stains. But overall, we would go back to this unit because of its location at the corner of the building. We would also rent through Ellis Akers again.
