There is nothing like a tranquil getaway to Land O' Lakes to truly disconnect from daily life and forget about everything else. This property is made up of a wonderful lakefront home and cottage on Little Portage Lake! This splendid escapade enjoys a prime lakefront location with unbeatable views and a dock where you can launch your boat. There are great restaurants just a few miles away. Close to many beautiful hiking trails, Lac Vieux Desert Park, Sylvania Wilderness, Star Lake Hiking Trail, and Plum Lake Hemlock Forest State Natural Area are all located less than 30 miles away. Little Portage Lake is just one of the many lakes nearby, so be prepared to partake in a plethora of water-based recreational activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and fishing!

Both retreats enjoy a dock where anglers can cast a line and a nice firepit that will be ideal for some lakefront storytelling time. When it comes to outdoor living, the home offers a lakefront deck with seating, a basketball hoop to challenge your friends to shoot some hoops, and a second-floor deck, furnished with an outdoor dining area and several seating options.

Upon entering the main home, you will be greeted by a spacious open floor plan with wall-to-wall windows, splendid lake views, exposed wood beams, and a rustic ambiance that will make you feel like you are away from everything. The inviting living room offers unparalleled water views and a cozy area where you all can spread out comfortably and create everlasting memories together. Curl up by the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace and read a good book or start planning your next adventures. The nearby dining area offers a beautiful dining table that is perfect for family meals and board game nights. Prepare exquisite culinary masterpieces in the well-appointed kitchen, complete with all the major appliances and a convenient Keurig coffee maker. A spacious screened sunroom offers a fantastic spot to unwind with unobstructed views of the lake, a comfy seating area, bean bag chairs, another dining area, and even a telescope! The basement enjoys a Ping-Pong table and your very own private sauna.

The cottage is simple and effective. It boasts a nice living/dining area with a comfy sofa, a beautiful center table, and a dining table. This space is ideal to wind down after a thrilling day exploring the area and visiting all the entertaining attractions mentioned beforehand. When it comes to entertainment, there is an assortment of board games provided. The eat-in, well-equipped kitchen has all the major appliances needed to prepare delicious homemade meals for the group.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
