The house was set up so well for us - Two adult families and two children. The house was clean, spacious with many rooms, and the foosball table was so fun! Nice, spacious, well stocked. The host gets 10 stars for communication! Answers came back within minutes, and if we needed things not in the kitchen, they were delivered promptly. Great experience.
Joan was a great host and quickly responded when needed. We had a lot of room in the house and everyone loved the pool! We would stay again if ever in the area.
You're close to many places but you feel like you're in your own little world. Very quiet and peaceful. The house has many rooms, which I think is great! So many places to spread out and relax and do what you want. We didn't get to try the pool out very much due to weather, but it's also a nice, relaxing spot. Our family had a great time!
Great location, everything one could ask for in a a property. Joan was very easy to communicate with, and was extremely accommodating. Swimming pool was fun. Would absolutely stay here again.
Joan was the most fantastic host! She was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The house was charming and had all of the amenities that you would need for a comfortable stay. The property itself was so beautiful and peaceful. Everyone really enjoyed there stay!
Our group came from all over the US and also from Portugal. Proximity to Dulles was key, and yet we felt like we were in the middle of horse country! Joan was so attentive and made the whole process a breeze! We will certainly book again!
Adorable property with tons of charm. The kids loved playing games in the den each night. Even tho you are minutes from shopping and the airport, while enjoying the pool you feel like you are miles into the country.
Enjoyed the delightful setting in the country. Real farmhouse (which means some mobility challenges as there are steps everywhere and uneven floors). Weather kept us from enjoying the pool, which looks refreshing. Watched deer in the expansive setting. Plenty of parking and comfortable bedrooms for 6.
Charming farm style home. Bathroom that has stall shower - the stall was very tiny - even for my 13 year old. There were some ants in the home - there were some traps around so this is likely because of being in the woods. Pool was clean. Kitchen dishwasher was not secured in the space/opening - hand washed dishes because I was worried about safety with dishwasher. Host was amazing to work with - quick responses and very helpful.
We enjoyed a long weekend with 3 generations under one roof. 7 of us stayed comfortably at this beautiful old home built in the 1870', the Aldie Farm House. Our adult daughter braved the pool's cold water the first day, but being end of April, none of us were that brave. Our host was very attentive to any questions we had and there was a very nice caretaker who was available if we needed her. We were pretty busy during our stay but we managed to cook most of our meals at the house and appreciated the great cookware and utensils. We would have love to stay longer, but was alas had to get back to our lives at home. Thank you again.

Lovely older farm home. Had all the space and amenities we needed. Beds were comfortable with clean linens and lots of towels. Disappointed though that pool was dirty, and no equipment to clean the dirt out, coffee maker was not clean as well and laundry was in dryer which I folded and put away. We do appreciate the wine that was welcoming us in.
The gas stove makes a continuous clicking noise which was a bit annoying. The pool area and pool itself do not have lighting which makes it inconvenient to use in the evening. We reached out to the maintenance man for instructions to turn on the pool heater and never heard back. Aside from those small inconveniences, the house is in a great location right on the beach. It was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The living area is spacious and plenty of beach towels are provided. Bedrooms have ceiling fans and we were able to set the AC at a temperature that was comfortable for us - a nice perk compared to other properties we’ve stayed at.
