Downtown Manchester Center. SKI Bromley in 12 min, Stratton Mountain in 25 min.
For couples, families, friends or coworkers - everyone has a comfy, cozy corner to hang out and due to the convenient location, everyone has activity independence. Walk in three different directions, then meet for lunch! The morning walker only has to stroll a quarter mile to start on a path they can do what they want with - do a mile loop around the perimeter of the Dana L. Thompson rec park, jump on the new running track for a few laps, continue on to Riley Rink at Hunter park, and continue on the same trail to the Historic Manchester Marble Rail Trail - through the woods and open fields The shopper could take 1 loop down Center Hill Rd, then Depot Street, then back on Main Street to hit every shop without needing to walk far to drop off their bargains. But the smart ones will walk 2 minutes in the other direction for a Tai Chi class, make use of the huge kid's playroom, or read a book by the fire or outside on the marble patio at the beautiful Manchester Community Library.
For dinner, the kitchen is cook-ready, with a long dining table for your fixings or take-out food. Better yet, walk less than 5 minutes and take your pick of 7 locally-owned restaurants along the way.

Beautiful cozy house with plenty of beds and space. We drove here in a snowstorm and were so thankful that the host had cleared the driveway and walkways for us. Overall a great stay.
Maurie seemlessly provided all that we needed,,including salting/shovelling the sidewalk each morning...5 stars for cleanliness, energy efficiency,,convenient in town location,,,would definitely stay there again...Erich, Amy, Henry
We enjoyed the accommodations and location of this home with easy access to the festival grounds, shops and restaurants. Also, the retro and vintage decor made for a comfortable stay.
Cozy home with conveniences to shops and outdoor recreation!
Property is exactly how advertised We had 3 teens, and everyone had a great bed. Cooked in one night. Kitchen has the essentials. Town is right outside your door. Great food options and shopping!!! We also explored great hiking trails behind Burr and Burton Academy which can accommodate a lot of hiking abilities. Manchester is a great destination and this property is a great place to stay.
Great stay for skiing Bromley and snowshoeing. Came in during a winter storm. Great communications with the owner who gave suggestions for safest route into town. Owner’s shoveling ensured our safe access to the house and parking! Great location - able to walk to restaurants (yes, in the snow!). Clean, comfortable and cozy. Great games allowed for fun family game nights. Thank you so much for a great stay!
Family friendly, comfortable space, walkable location
We stayed July 1-6 of 2025. The home is comfortable for a family, easily accessible with a keypad on the door, quiet location, very private… it’s just a block off the Main Street through Manchester Center, so a close walk to town. Maurie is adding heat/ac wall units. Currently, there is just one located in the king bedroom (more to come), so we kept the doors open for sleeping and used one the many fans that were available to move air to the other bedrooms. It was in the mid 80s at least a couple of the days, and we all were comfortable.

About the host

I live in the mother-in-law apartment on the back side of the house with my husband. You may see me and may not, typically in the driveway as I head out on my bicycle. Biking and cross-country skiing are my favorite things. I grew up in northern Vermont and I love hosting and sharing my perfect location and town with you!
Why they chose this property
I love my neighbors and neighborhood. I love seeing the friendly faces across the street at Natures Market and know that if I forget an ingredient for dinner, it's a very short walk back! I love joining my lovely neighbor for lunch on her long porch while admiring both the Green Mountains and Taconic Mountain ranges.
What makes this property unique
My house is in such a great location. It is bustling in the day with kids going to school and parents driving to work as well as delivery trucks supplying locally owned businesses. Yet the nights are typically very quiet and peaceful. A morning or evening walk around town is a pleasure with lots of hidden treasures along the way, like Adams Park, the gardens and creative sculptures at the Northshire Bookstore, Mill Pond, and plenty of coffee shops.
