Feel Right At Home... While Being A Spectator Of Nature.
There are so many things you will love about our home in Manchester, Vermont, but I will begin with the wonderful feeling of stress and tension escaping you the minute you walk in the door. The house has four bedrooms and two and a half baths plus two living rooms and an eat in kitchen. Located on a private road and situated high into the trees surrounded by nature. I think of it as our treetop house because looking out into the tree tops and even further out into the mountains, it is a view that you will never get tired of. The house is very light and bright with many windows to be a spectator of nature from every room. Without the stresses of daily life, you may find yourself inspired to create and cook wonderful foods to enjoy, and the kitchen is equipped with all you need. The counter height table in the kitchen doubles as a center island. The table expands to seat up to eight people at once or just set up a buffet and have the whole family stand around and enjoy. The deck has a gas grill for barbecues and a patio set for outside dining. The upper level living room has beautiful surrounding windows which helps bring the outdoors in. Once the leaves have fallen there are beautiful mountain views from both living rooms, kitchen, office and two bedrooms. There is a fireplace in the living room inviting you to enjoy a glass of wine and some Vermont Cheddar with fig spread, or just roast some marshmallows with the kids. The rooms are all filled with comfortable beds inviting and cozy. There are two bedrooms upstairs one with a queen size bed and the other with a full size bed. The hallway bathroom has a spacious shower equipped with hand rails and a bench for those who need some extra support. Downstairs on the lower level there is a second living room with beautiful surrounding windows similar to the living room upstairs. This living room contains a queen size sofa bed. There is a TV with Xfinty cable, DVD player, and a table for gaming, card playing or just to set out some snacks. There are one and half baths downstairs. The full bath has a shower/bathtub for the little ones. The third bedroom on the lower level has two twin size beds and the fourth bedroom has a queen size bed. There is an bright office with many windows to work on your laptop and keep up with the outside world, or for the kids to finish up their homework. Xfinty cable provides cable TV, telephone and wireless internet. There is also a full size washer and dryer in the mud room. The house features an attached garage for easy entry into the house. Now with all this in mind you are in Manchester Center, centrally located to enjoy skiing, hiking, fishing, relaxing at the lake, or just enjoying all the wonderful shops and restaurants Manchester has to offer. Bromley Mountain is a short 6 miles away and Stratton Mountain only 15 miles away. Vermont Summer Festival is 6 miles away, Emerald Lake State Park is 8 miles away and Outlet Shopping is only 3 miles away. There are two major grocery stores in town Shaws and Price Chopper. Manchester’s own Dana L. Tompkins Recreational Park has fields, tennis courts, walking path, playground, skateboard park, basketball courts and in the winter enjoy cross country skiing and snowshoeing. You can go hiking at nearby Prospect Rock Trail and Lyle Brook Falls Trailhead and don’t forget to visit Dorset Farmers Market every Sunday. Not only will you enjoy your stay in our Vermont home but you will quickly realize how much you miss it here and want to come back again!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was absolutely beautiful—spacious, spotless, and very welcoming. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and it truly felt like a home away from home. My family and I were very comfortable and enjoyed every moment. We would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
Big, spacious and clean house. It has all the amenities of home. The owner Janet was very responsive and helpful. I recommend this listing for anyone looking for a southern Vermont getaway.
This is a beautiful property and a wonderful house! It’s much bigger than it looks and has everything you need. The kitchen is well appointed the washer and dryer were great and the bedrooms are comfy. We were there when part of the week was very hot and the air conditioning units kept us cool and comfortable. When it cooled off - it was great sleeping with the windows open. The house is a short drive to Manchester which is full of restaurants and shopping including a large grocery store. (The bookstore is fabulous!) The house is also a short drive to hiking trails. We spent a lot of time exploring all of Vermont and truly didn ’t want to leave!
We had the most wonderful holiday get-away at this property. Situated with a beautiful view of the mountains, the home is extremely comfortable and inviting. From the spacious layout, cozy furnishings and linens to the well stocked kitchen for cooking, it is perfect. Located minutes from Manchester Center shops and restaurants as well as Bromley Mountain, it was perfect for us. The host is very responsive and lovely to work with. Anytime in the Manchester area, this will be our first choice by far!
Great communication with Janet throughout the stay. Home is in a beautiful wooded setting while still being minutes from Manchester center. Enjoyed the wood burning fireplace as well!
Highly recommend this awesome Vermont home with plenty of room for the whole Family! A huge hit with the teenagers who like their own space. Equipped with all of the essentials and then some. Manchester is vert quaint and the perfect place to shop, relax, and eat! Despite the rain we had an awesome time! Xo
The house had lots of room for our family on two levels. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. Lots of wood was available for a cozy fire.
We had an absolutely beautiful time at this house! Centrally located but yet nestled in the woods, it was easy to travel to the local sites and eateries but quiet and private.
The two floors of living space as perfect for socializing and the riveter time. Extremely roomy, there was plenty of space while feeling cozy.
We will definitely be back!
I stayed here with some friends for a fishing weekend and it was a perfect spot. Hosts were helpful and made check in and check out very easy. The house if very clean with plenty of space for larger groups. Nice back deck for summer dinners. While the house is quiet and private, it is also an easy drive to town. We would definitely stay here again.
Great place! Owners were very responsive and helpful. We were here for the horse show and the house is in a great location. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!
Quiet street, beautiful setting, perfect winter getaway. Family of 4 stayed here, really could have shared with another family. Kids had the downstairs to themselves while the adults had the upstairs. Quick drive to Manchester Center for shopping and restaurants while other days were spent skiing at Stratton.
